MusingsMuses: say what you want, Skull n Bones survived longer than Redfall and Suicide Squad
weebymcweaberson8145: This dude is a Destiny player, so the stockholm syndrome of being in a terrible abusive relationship with a monotonous grindy microtransaction platform comes built in. Ubisoft is lucky to have him
SwooshJush83: Oh shit am I the only human in the comments rn
lgd6619: To be fair Mr.Fruit is such a fun and happy gamer he could make Concord look fun
Hyperion-uv6nq: Shout out mr fruit been watching him for 10 years now he’s genuinely a great guy
matttully3178: Mr Fruit is an absolute legend. Pls go check out his content of you haven’t, he’s just a totally cool dude.
Bogglemanify: This video doesn't convince me that Skull and Bones is a good game, all it convinces me of is that this guy would have fun playing almost any game.
dempseybirminghamfilm: Wow big shout out to Mr fruit!!! We love Fruit
RPGandFPS: I grabbed the game for like 5$ and started in Y1S4. Have clocked maybe a 100hrs rn up to Y2S2. Ship builds and grind is rather engaging like Mr. Fruit describes post all the reworks and updates.
Player-base (that is present) seems to respond to every flair shot up for help. Events seem to have 5-10 players every time.
The recent edition of the Frigate (large ship) is pretty great and added a new thing to grind and build for.
Not worth the launch price still, but a 5$-10$ sale is perfect.
c.anthonyjohnson259: MR Fruit is a Goat!!!!!!
coderjoe1881: This is not a cross over i expected! Been watching Fruit since like 2016ish
mintytrash7240: I don't even want to touch this thing with 10 ft stick
evermoorzknight3685: MR. FRUIT!!!!
makani9004: Naaah, fundamentally broken, because of greed. They had all the tools to create the pirate game of our lifetimes.
admiralalyssa: I don't even like S&B but I wish we as gamers would let studios try new things without being tied to their past. My favorite example is RE5; people hated this game because it wasn't a horror game, but if you took it for what it was, it was a fantastic campy co-op action romp. It now has a cult fanbase in the same franchise name as RE2 and RE4. S&B should not be held to Black Flag when it's a new IP.
99Hatman: as someone with 300 hours into the game, for me it's just the kinda game to chill a bit, not having to think that hard or do anything complicated, just sailing around a bit and blowing things up. where other games would "demand" a lot of time and attention to play, skull and bones is the game i play when i've got like 30 minutes or so and want to be checking my phone ever so often while playing it, maybe listen to a podcast on the side, that kind of thing.
i'm not sure if that's what the devs were aiming for when making the game, but it is what they ended up doing for me :P
though if there's a new animal crossing and i can finally mow my lawn in that game, i'll probably play that instead for a long while XD
Boyahda: There's quite literally nothing to defend about Skull & Bones. From it's weird Singaporean government backed inception, to it's horrific delay-ridden development (this shit was supposed to release in Q4 2018) to the absolute mid final product that we inevitably got 6 years later, it was shit at every single level.
FergieTheTaurus: I think this game would have done much better, if Ubisoft hadn't hyped it up so much. They set such a massive bar for it, only for it to just be an okay game. The hype, in my opinion, is what really caused it to crash.
RHQ7: As a past destiny enjoyer, do not take game recommendations from destiny players lol, destiny players will make the most amount of excuses for a bad game and gaslight themselves into "enjoying" it.
BlazinTigger: what he said about it was basically what I already know, you can have fun in the game, but it's not a great game. I personally will only play it if it's free, that's the quality it has imo, the only thing I'm willing to give Ubisoft for that game is my data. no matter what the game is a flop, with the time, money, and good will spent on this game; they'll never make enough to make up for that. I hated reading his comments though, a bunch of Ubisoft apologists saying to stop holding devs to unrealistic standards.... funny how small studios can meet our unrealistic standards but multi billion dollar multi national corporations just can't cut it.
deathproof8732: I didnt want an online Black Flag with friends. I hate people. I just wanted to be able to sail around and sink ships like Sid Meiers Pirates. I wanted to like Sea of Thieves but the onfoot sht and needing more people to sail my ship is bullsht
Northex23: I find that the Hype campaigns are what sabotages a release the most, because nothing can ever live up to the hype. I think more companies will move away from it and have done already, like how Oblivion was stealth released, Deadlock was "leaked" etc.
zer0_cool: Unless they changed things, Skull and Bones endgame was PvP currency grindfest and exotic material upgrades. I wouldn't be surprised if there are whales actually keeping the game afloat (ha ha).
