f1nsher: The AI Raid Member Update is honestly the most anticipated update for me in all of Lost Ark. I'm not a great player my rotation is off, I mess up some mechanics, and I struggle with social anxiety. Because of that, I usually avoid group content and so does my brother, who's also a solo player for similar reasons. With this update, we can finally do raids together without the stress of getting rejected, waiting for groups, or feeling like a burden. I know raiding is probably the most fun with a big group of friends, but for players like us, it can feel like a nightmare when group content is required just to progress. This update really feels like a game changer.

The raids needed a DUO/TRIO/4Player squad modes not only solo or 8.

I came back for the event, and it seems like all I'm doing is playing solo content. is not fun.

I have several people who have played but found the raids too punishing, or rather that progging with a lot of other random people is very stressful for a new player without a lot of experience. If I could just get like a 4 man going for these newer raids and teach my friends without stress it would be an absolute blast. Everyone who’s play said the combat is incredible and one of the best they’ve played but to someone who’s never really played these types of games it’s a lot lol.

pepega_express: This game isn't going anywhere unless Smilegate changes its approach to the gameplay loop. Without a variety of endgame activities that are on par with raiding, it will never appeal to a wider player base. If that AI feature turns out to be true, it could really help new and returning players properly learn the actual raids.

I haven't played in almost 3 years, so seeing something like the Ark Passive is a very positive sign. But at the same time, it's still the same spamming 18 raids on 6 characters, mixed with wasted hours in party finder. It's also true that Lost Ark no longer feels like an MMO. Basically, I spawn in town, press Alt Q, choose some instanced content, and when I'm done, I exit the game without even leaving the town.

melantus: They have soooo much content in this game thats collecting dust because everyone is pushed to the endgame. I had so much fun in the old abyss dungeons. No one plays it anymore and that’s a real shame. It’s hard to get someone to come play even if they have a power pass because it’s all dumped on your lap at one time. Allowing people to enjoy the lower tier content would be really nice.

Otherwise, knowing the game’s trash, you still gotta boost the morale of those playing it or wanting to try it, even though the truth’s way different from what you’re saying. jogbadthebad: I agree that there should be casual alternatives for casual players. I'm old and struggling to remember even legion raid mechanics, but I need the drops to increase my ilvl to progress through the story. If folk hit brick walls, they'll take themselves, and their money, elsewhere. And that can't be a good business model. Keep the hardcore content with better rewards and give us a lower reward option. I don't mind a bit of grinding, so long as I can actually progress.

Asymphonia: I went into this video as a new player and learned absolutely nothing. I don't know a thing about what you are talking about, I don't know if there's incentive to play, I don't know who these characters are. To me it was like walking into a theoretical physics lecture when I'm supposed to be learning color theory: nothing made sense and I left more confused than when I walked in.

From this video alone (and a lack of cohesion of any real topic), I'm now more indecisive and likely not to play Lost Ark.

cyberyaya8483: I have stopped playing for a year now and trying to decide if I should come back, for me the problem was the gatekeeping bc of LOS30 and rooster lvl, it was like unplayable.

I have seen a lot of hype bc of new updates and whatnot so it got me interested, but the player count on steam keeps going down instead of up so its a bit concerning.

LizzieBeezie: I'm so excited for Lost Ark coz i know our servers aren't living more than a year until Mobile version comes out, same fate JP server suffered. We know their main priority is gonna be CN and Mobile and i'm pretty sure they're in talks with Tencent to buy out the game, if they haven't done so already. Just to state numbers from SteamDB, we've lost 11k players during the month of June, to get about 700 players max during July, for a maximum of around 20-30k total players across steam servers.
