countyingula: You're spot on with the addictive controlling aspect of the game. I hate how things are timegated so u feel tied to a schedule if u wanna progress, while being starved for progression to encourage swiping or just locking in like it's a job u gotta work for months with no other options to get anywhere. MY biggest problem aside from timegated content was the 1600 deadzone. They halved the cost. But half of insanely too high, is still expensive. Doable now, but still expensive. The cost of what it is now, is what it shoulda been a year ago. While the cost now, they should've fully removed raw gold on it.

So i'm not hopeful on any real changes considering the changes they did make, feel like the bare minimum after months and months and months of pain.

IMHO the only thing that keeps LA afloat is the uber satisfying Gameplay and Raids I mean just playing your character alone is so much more of it's retention value. I'm fully switched to Poe2 for a while now but I still keep thinking to myself and imaging "Man if only Lost Ark plays exactly like this" The combat/overall gameplay and Sound design in LA stills One Ups every other ARPG in existence and it's just sad to see player counts even falling lower than BDO now

countyingula: Elixir wise, I think more people would still complain and hate on it if they were still dealing with it. Since most people still playing are already done with it. Out of site, out of mind. But even with the changes. It's still miserable to do and doesn't feel rewarding at all. And more of a mandatory thing that's just not fun to deal with. Especially with how expensive progression is at those levels even with the recent nerf. Noones making enough gold to deal with elixirs, then trans, WHILE honing at those levels with soloraids as the only option. Progression feels really bad there still.

Might not make a big enough difference, but if they continue to keep the ball moving in the right direction, it can still make a difference. 1620 should cost only silver at this point and mtf only reduce like 40% cost on the last stream.

He needs to release solo raid up to latest raid togther with an easy matchmakae group mode asap, so far only Tencent announced more solo in CN ver but CN ver is slower.

Gem needs to be easy to be shared within roster and convert from dmg/cd, not the half ass bound gem.

VinsLeMans: Veteran player 10k hours in. Here’s my take.

1)The gold reward system needs reworking, 18 raids a week is exhausting been on this treadmill for years and I swear sometimes I just want to log in and do some side quests or horizontal content but you can’t cos your grind for gold never ends.

2)The alt system is also wrong, MMORPG very alt-unfriendly.. I have loads of characters sitting with 100k red stones bound that they will never use as they’re not meant to be honed (these toons are just farming chaos and guardians) but no somehow you can’t funnel these let alone share gear or gems.

3)Daily actives and loading screens. The game makes you play 6 characters and everyday you have to shift through infinite amount of screens between una’s, guild donations, and chaos and guardian) how is that fun?

4)Monetisation and greed compulsions from SG are destroying the game

To be honest I still enjoy some aspects of the game but hate most others so if LOA doesn’t change direction I’m probably going to wait out Chrono Odissey and then if it is any good I’ll be gone for good

They are having massive events, raids are easier than ever, the game takes way less time to clear weeklies.

The gem system people want to come (roster gems) is never going to happen and its better that its not coming, people fail to realise how many more issues roster gems will create.

slavya_squad: Every company is there to make money, but you can do that while maintaining various degrees of consumer-friendlieness and care about your own product. Lost Ark has stopped being developed as a game at some point, and is effectively a monetization mechanism disguised into a game now. Mobile version coming out just further expands on it. Lost Ark is about to join the hall of fame of these half-dead korean mmos with mobile versions such as BnS, BDO etc., when we were hoping that it joins WoW, 14... After a mobile version is introduced, the increase in revenue never leads to them putting more money into the original PC game and they never become better. It can for sure delay the EoS though, if that's what people are hoping for.

P.S. if you love the game, the best you can do for it is quit it, and allow the company to finally get rid of this UE3 abomination, oversaturated by monetization to such degree that the sight of the game behind it is lost. And if they had further plans for this IP - they will maybe make a new game, which is going to be fun for some time on release, but it's already better than continuing to ride the current dead horse.
