Abyssal-Voidwalker: I'm someone who used to be in my servers (EUW Wei) number one guild, playing daily and loving the game but i quit to focus on my collage right around the vykas release in West, in fact i cleared normal weak one and hard weak 2 and quit the game next day.

skip to early 2025 summer, i wanted to relive the mood and game play of Lost Ark so i reinstalled the game and hopped on, of course my character was under geared after years of not playing but i found out basically every system in the game has been streamlined and i can easily get appropriate gear and play solo even... Great, right?

While the game was just as good as i remembered, Being a new or returning players all felt like a bot compared to the very small, very gatekeeping and toxic daily player. it was suffocating so i just quite the game for good this time.

Lost Ark is a great game and that fact never changes however i do believe no matter how many skips and expresses they give us, if we cant level out the community with a WOW style soft reset after every major expansion it will just never grow out of its current niche because no matter where you join the game, its either a half baked solo experience or a gate kept grindy experience
