fgmxd4957: I've said it many times and I'll say it again. When I watched the director spending half of the last LOA ON apologizing to the veteran players for not respecting their investment enough, I honestly don't think LA has a future, not under the current director at least. For context, I am a day 1 player who has 12.5k hours in the game which is a lot considering that I quit the game on the first week of Behemoth, which is around a year ago, so I really loved this game and played every single day. I simply realized that season 3 and T4 are just a new sugarcoat on a cake that is rotting inside. People told me that I was crazy since I had a very stacked roster and I had spent around 2K USD on the game, but it turns out that almost all of my friends who decided to keep playing and experience T4 have all left in a span of one year since my departure. And those who still hang on told me that Kazeros will be the last raid that they will prog before quitting for good, so I definitely expect the player count to drop below 10k and maybe even 9k after the race. Can the game still be saved? Yes. Do I believe that it will be saved? No, especially after I watched the last LOA ON. The game is clearly focused on retaining the established players who are already at the endgame and exploiting their sunk cost fallacy. New player experience is legitimately the worst that I have even seen in any KR MMO I've played, and I played 5 of them for at least a year over the last 15 years or so, just saying. Now that I watched your video, I honestly feel a bit more relieved that I made the right decision back then.

theonemister1: The only way I see this game surviving is if AGS takes over the design of the monetization system / progression system. This would open up so many possibilities, it’s hard to list them all. If I was AGS, I would use the dropping player numbers as argument that the eastern gamedesign simply doesn’t work in the west and something needs to change. At this point, what is there to loose?

Then coming back to NYC and grabbing a final get together meal at Jungsik or Atomix before doing the Kazeros race on our NA accounts replaced our Vegas bender this year. Vegas too expensive and it’s way more dead than Lost Ark

To expand; the gameplay is near perfect, including difficulty. However that's about all the good you can say about the game. The same difficulty I would like to praise is ruined by ass rewards. Worse yet is if I go through playing the game how they want; 6 characters min., dailies done every day, 3 raids each week and from all that investment in their game I sit and fail honing, fail transcendence, fail making good elixirs, fail on karma. I could just as well go play a shitty gacha game. Hope it burns itself to the ground.

Ark Grid was his latest massive fumble that even caused an exodus of korean players. They went on to play MapleStory instead of Lost Ark, imagine that.

It's a huge shame, because the game itself is great but is ruined by greed.

It's funny how those so called "doomers" were right after all. The fun fact is, these aren't doomers, they are just realistic people with a good IQ and not blinded by rose-tinted glasses.

ShuffleAssi: Yep agree. If LoA On does not introduce huge changes, the game will be done for. Sad story, the game had and still has huge potential. It is still fun to me at least, but small improvements we had over the years does not change how the game works. The game needs to turn around if it wants to stay alive. I am not going to quit just yet, but if the LOA On sucks, it might be time. Quitting now is not a good choice imo, waiting for LOA On is the way.

rc8929: Lost ark was an amazing game. I came back for solo act 1 and I had a blast and kept playing for 2-3 months but now I need act 2/3 solo for anything else, so I am back to barely playing (just doing the hell keys each week).

I took 10 month break due to the Theamine/Echidna/Behemoth/Act 1 raid schedule which finally broke me.

trop1cal5k1ttles: i have friends who have spend 39k on this game and we are very close in gears/roster. But i have to play the market and be extremely diligent with my gold to be able to keep up just barely.

The issue is not who plays more and who doesn't. This is just casual vs tryhards. They just play different games.

The issue is that AGS does not respect ANYONE.

FTP? - Consistently finding ways to punish them for not spending money. Whether its nerfing multi rosters, nerfing unbound gold, 6char gold limit, heavily locking trade restrictions, Time gated gold generation. Discouraging legitimately running multiple accounts. Need to push main? Only get to enjoy one character cause you are force to funnel everything in order to somewhat keep up, your other 5 alts are giga rats. Want comfy lobby? you're FTP so you wait in lobby for one hour only to get jailed cause you don't have enough income to a push alts into desirable lobbies. Want to sell mats? Guess what everything you can farm somewhat consistently is either heavily time gated, depreciates faster than you can farm them, or both (IE: honing mats, tomes, life skills, cubes, field boss, Chaos Gates). Want to play the market? 5% transaction fees, no buy/sell spread so you are forced to speculate on longer timelines (based around content releases, meaning plays take months to pan out). If there is any way for FTP to survive its only cause AGS hasn't found out about it yet.

PTW - NO matter how much you spend your gear will get outdated not even 6months later, meaning you have to hard whale consistently, its not like to can ptw one month and be able to compete the next. So they just have to spend more and more just to keep pace. Have to work and cannot play 16hrs a day? you better spend 1k per month to stay competitive. Want PTW to spend more? make gems give you a buff when bound. $2k skins on prestige shop? Want prestige skini? costs $2000. No time to play the game so you have to heavily outgear people in order to match their DPS, which costs money... And worst of all. Their is always someone with more money to out ego you.

RMT? - Sure you may think you get fair price. But guess what you catch a permaban 6-12 months later and you have to start over again. Lets say you are an RMT whale so you just rebuild a new account. By the time you RMT back to pre-ban status you have already spent close to the same as PTW. And guess what because you RMTso heavy on the second account you are bound to get a permaban sooner or later. First Mode? Even if you cheated your way to the top AGS still wont let you play at the top. So now as an RMT whale you really have to consider starting over a third time and whaling legitimately just so that you can one day afford to play on a stage you couldn't cheat your way into. Which i guess is fine for first mode, if it actually punished cheaters but the way AGS is doing it, it mainly harms the FTP.

Mutliboxers? - I guess similar issues as FTP. Plus AGS bunches you in with botters or pins you for unfair use of multiple account. So you are consistently in fear AGS might kill your accounts.

Botters? - You don't even get to play the game. You are just playing cat and mouse with AGS. But since botters don't care about the game i guess it doesn't really matter bringing them up in community oriented discussions.

Kby96: i came back to this game with my friend. my main gripe with game is gems/gate keeping. gems being WAYYYYY to low of a drop rate ive legit got ZERO gems from a unrested 1680 chaos dungeon b4.

and the 2nd being gate keeping and im not saying players gate keeping which is to be expected my alts are 1200 combat power full level 6 smodgers i expect to only be taken by the 1200 alt smodgers like myself .

but the MULTIPLE FUCKING weeks to do the karma system (its been about 2 months and im still not done my mains karma yet. only have armour left but still) the MULTIPLE weeks for transcendence which THERE IS ZERO WAYS TO SPEED UP these processes even with money. im just hoping like u said loaon is gas or i might just have to cut my losses and quit yet again not by choice but by the mass exodus of players.

pcpc1289: To save the game, they have to give the whole system revamped and hard reset everything. Which in turns will lure new player coming in, but veterans will not like it. Its a risk for the dev to consider to take or milk until the last drop before calling it EOS

TheSevenFight: I belive that SG and AGS took a page from the samebook as two other companies did back in early 2000 era. Yes, i am talking about NCSoft and Gameforge. Insanely greedy, don't care what playes has to say and unless you are easy to milk, don't even talk to them. It's sad what happened to my beloved genre but MMORPGs are dying simply because of greed. I still think that most of the comapnies are looking for easy money in a one year perspective and after that it's milking time of what's rest of the playerbase. It's funny how Lost Ark players are shitting on other games but at the same time those other games have steady playersbase (even increase in some cases) but Lost Ark still falling down. One of the best MMORPGs with insane combat almost reached its grave and others far worse titles are still alive. It's sad what is hapening to the game but it's not only company fault. 10-15% of the fault belongs to players themselves who were extremly toxic and unfriendly from the beginning. A lot of the folks are calling themselves a revolutionists because they are fighting against the system or company but at the same time they are playing by their rules and kicking everyone who are no with them. As many people said already, i probably gonna drop after Kazeros as well or will drop to 1 character and will enjoy what's left of the game anyway. This LOA Winter as you said is crucial to it's lifespan in EU/NA and if they won't cook, it's joever.

jrzlz: What is killing this game is the community, gatekeeping is what kills the game, no one wants to waste 4 hours trying to join a lobby being rejected by subjective reasons to in the end many ppl join the same lobby with worse gear than you.

countyingula: I made 1 of each character on my one account and people tell me i made a mistake. But i'm like. I just wanna play the game. I don't wanna have to do stupid work arounds just to get more gold cause the game fails to provide options and limits gameplay.

It's just stupid that people are encouraged to make a 2nd account cause of the 6 character gold limit.
