Kinda tired of all the bandaid fixed for the event where they are suppose to announce major changed to the game the new player stuff is nice but they refuse to address the systems that cause the issue in the first place. Once they are out the express they still have a bunch of progression systems that will take them forever to catch up on. And that fact that you have to find 7 other people in your same situation to not be gatekept cuz your account is new is a wild ask to get new player into the game. What the point of getting new players if they hit a wall after 2-3 month and leave the reason we want new player is to retain them and they don’t do anything to ever fix the retention issues

nekrovx: As a returnee castform's pov is actually very valid. I don't have any friends to play with so what do I have to do? pug and since I don't have ark grid done yet, people won't even take me to learn act 4 so I do solo mode Aegir , Brel and Mordum on all 6 of my characters and then just do dailies saving mats . I love this game which is why I came back but the pug playstyle is just pure BS which I guess is my fault because I had to take a break due to irl.

I'm one of those players who plays the game with 1 friend so we end up doing every raid with pugs. Most of the guilds in EU are toxic or are just shop guilds and discords groups usually end up helping you in one course of raids and that's it - you on your own again (i don't blame them since they want to help everyone but it's simply impossible so they have to help someone once and move on to someone else). I saying that every time, stop wasting time on dumb solo modes and make all the raids flex raids instead. You can go with anyone you want and you doing the version of the raid you want to prepare for with more amount of players. That would solve the gatekeeping and toxicity issue (at least on raids) and everyone would play whenever they want however they want. This LOA On was 3/10 at most because even tho they improved on new player experience they didn't fix the main core of it - as many people already said, it's still just a bandaid....

petetam567: One good sign is Lost Ark back into top 10 KR PC Bang with a pretty large bump after the LOA ON, but Smilegate needs to do much much more to retain players by fixing all the progression and gatekeeping issues. Matching mode can only help with easy difficulty, what about harder difficulty ? Arkgrid is still the elephant in the room. Mono roster still has way cheaper in gem sharing than other.

ineriRS: Game will bounce back in Korea, that's for sure. It already does.

West is abandoned by AGS soon, nothing can save this anymore. Just realistic btw. Barely any players left and zero advertisement for the new updates, so most potential new players or returners will never even see it. And even if... they will never be able to do the challenging content in this game, the barrier of entry is too damn high and the players on their stage to play with are simply not there.

Game design and the elitist western community are the main cause for this.
