Shopping Cartjxstified7558: Listen, Im not getting hyped for any MMO anymore bro...when it comes out and I see it and the monetization aspect then I will make a decision but no matter what the trailers look like Idc until then.
iwannadie9031: Mobile? I don't feel so good, Mr Stix.
mrvad3r198: yep u lost me when u said mobile.
FaeDream: meanwhile guild wars 1 and 2 players are chillin
xMistertrue: It's not that "MMO players don't want to play with MMO players". People got tired of gatekeeping and getting locked out of endgame content simply because they didn't put the same amount of hours of hardcore players and didn't have the perfect gear, stone and cards.
TheWokerDCJ: I just want a Lost Ark without shitty monetization
Aren.Gee-G: Aside from being heavily monetized, if they plan to make this game only available to specific regions, this game is cooked.
hightierplayers2454: Its hilarious how many commenters are down here circle jerkin each other's answers when almost all of them are wrong.
The game had heavy pay to win and it had massive timegating along with the fact that gear upgrading became entirely vertical AND massively RNG based.
These are by far without question the 2 reasons that Lost Ark fell off as hard as it did.
By the 1450-ish mark as a f2p if you got unlucky just one time, there was no way you were making it to the next minimum necessary power level for the new content.
Took far too long to "catch up" to Korea.
I'm Korean, this is a very typical mistake Asian developers make.
The longer their launch period before they "catch the global version up", the less of a chance they'll be successful anywhere but domestically in whatever asian country the product originated from.
WWM is falling into this same problem with over 78% playerbase loss (250k -> 55k) in just their first month.
Also, all mobile "games" are overmonetized low quality low IQ trash. Nobody smart thinks otherwise about ANY of them.
LunarValkyria: I think for majority it isn't that players don't want to play with others in MMOs they just want to play with their friends. However, time needs to match up for everyone to get together and play so it is nice having an option to go at content solo.
youtuber11122: whenever i hear an MMO is made on Unreal Engine 5 i immediately get unexcited
In_Dog_We_Trust: Does anyone really think they learned from the mishandling of Lost Ark 1??
toadtube: dragons dogma was the first game i played with true NPC party teammates
SO much better than random, forced, matchmaking
CadisEtramaDiRaizelHexion: Ive never felt more discouraged of the mmorpg genre as I do now… Is honestly depressing
LushSo: I actually tried getting into lost ark it just felt weird playing
SBTD911: So, its runs in UE5...
Are they giving away free sticks too?
Man , RAM sticks are getting hefty prices lately...
NVIDIA ditching us too with GPU production...
What a time to be an MMO really...
Haru_no_ki: As a day 0 player of Lost ark, smilegate(the developers) and amazon(publisher for global) are trash. Amazon killed every game they touched and smilegate is always 2 steps behind in implementing what people need. Usually, they implement what the community wants, but they take too much time and people just leave the game. Plus, it’s a mobile game that had mobile first in mind and then PC, even tho it’s not a port
alexb9566: I'm sure it'll be p2w garbage. Again.
pintas77: yes you lost us in the mobile phrase
basicaly a pass
4d4m1nb1r1: when they say better, you can be sure AI made.. today's terms...
xDrac: Mobile... oh no.
greggmacdonald9644: Thanks for the update, I'm sure you'll keep us informed :)
trashman1358: It was the end game of Lost Ark that turned me a way - just too painful. But loved getting there so yeah, give it a go!
kylesmith6133: Looks good yes, does it have promise? yes. However i am not holding out hope or getting excited about any new game until i see the product even if its early access. Its all about how well its put together and the execution of the game.
Kyizwa: The biggest problem in Lost Ark was really how hard it was to upgrade gear, having in mind how hard end game content was, and how difficult it was just to get into it.
I liked the diffculty, but it shouldn't take as long to upgrade.
Apart from that, it didn't have MMO players, otherwise it wouldn't be that hard to get a party to do content.
perryrhodan4648: Any idea if the endgame/p2w system changes? That’s what got me bored as hell after finishing questing.
