Shopping CartBlextheFat: Im happy when lost ark goes offline in the West - im to addicted and its the only option i have to cold turkey away from this game.
finnigandc2979: Flashbacks to Tonka leaving TERA, really kind of heralded the end of the game as a community, and kind of seeing the same pattern here.
markreyes4484: Let SG cook. Honestly, I’m just relieved AGS is out of the way. The only reason we barely heard from SG was because Lost Ark Global was stuck under AGS. If anything, AGS has been a barrier between the playerbase and SG from day one.
I see tons of solid suggestions in Discord, but all we ever get from moderators is the same “we’ll pass along the sentiment” line. There’s zero transparency, so how are we supposed to know anything actually reaches SG?
At this point, I’d rather have SG—or even Tencent—handle the game directly with full developer authority instead of relying on a publisher that can’t communicate or execute.
derhenker1799: I don't know why people glazed Roxx and the others for years. I didn't see anything but the bare minimum done by them. The communication was awful & many times incorrect. They never really pushed SG for changes either, what they did regarding it was the bare minimum also. The way they tackled the botting and rmt issue in the first two years is pathethic & it's still not solved to this day. There was so many drama with the game and they always failed to solve any of them. People left the game left and right because of the awful decisions by this team. Sure, SG is awful, greedy, etc... but AGS was just as bad. The duo of them killed the game, not SG alone. It won't be worst without AGS, that's for sure, cuz they did nothing, literally. And don't even start with the things like oh but they pushed for 1-2 minor changes here and there, like with Paradise. Bruh... That's nothing. I think them being gone could actually help the game, cuz SG now has to deal with the west and it's players directly. The barrier for reaching them is gone. Now it's up to them if they want to care about the west or not - putting NA/EU aside on maintenance mode.
petetam567: Well this game is donezo, not just here but also KR not see any significant improvement. Also as the predatory p2w model is still in the core, don't expect people will come back and play.
atheistium: Membership ran out last week after I brought a ton when you could get it super cheap.
What timing. I've lost all motivation to play. I have zero trust in AGS and SG and I think this is the end for me. Gutted. LA has the best combat and raids.
metrokilla1494: I spend 8 grand a month am i screwed?
Kalimdor199Menegroth: After more than 4 years of playing this game religiously, I quit last week. I kind of see the writing of the wall, and even if the game license continues after it expires, the game still has no future. SG is afraid of making any gamble, any change, even gradual change for the better, all they know is to repeat the same mistakes, the same patterns that have not brought positive changes to any version of this game.
I am not going to trash this game like many others did. For like 2 and a half a years this game for me was peak. I made fond memories with it. After this 2 and a half years the game started becoming more of a chore, less of an enjoyment. But I still strived on because some of my friends stuck around and we did almost everything together. The game itself was becoming less fun, but the fact that we played together, we created all the fun. However, all my friend by autumn 2025 have quit and I was the last one standing. I found another group to do the content since last autumn, and this group of people was decent and we had our laughs... however I disliked Kazeros as a raid (Act 4 is fine) and Ark Grid as a progression system. Been playing only to finish asap and move to something else. I finished Ark Grid on my main, but I abhor he idea of doing this on alts. No, thank you.
Serca raid comes with a soft reset and the NM version of this raid locks in the previous gear tier. The latest changes to materials becoming bound except those from embers is ass. Strategically, they nerfed the drop rate of honing mats from embers. They said they want to stop this funneling design between main and alts, but if this were true, they should've started doing this with gold, not with honing mats. Because gold is the thing that makes and breaks this game. The changes to honing mats, gems and others did not have a positive impact on the game. On EUC, moving gems to guardians increased the prices for lv10 gems by 600k, from 3.4 mil to almost 4 mil. Engravings remained about the same. Gold had basically no value, because everything worth upgrading was insanely expensive.
As such, I don't see the point in continuing playing the game. I farm 18 raids per week, to not be able to afford anything. All sense of progression has disappeared. All I can do is to reinvest my gold into honing my alts. Which is not a bad idea, but 1720 content requires alts to be better geared for a smoother raid experience. Oh, and you need to start doing your Ark Grid on alts. I also was not keen on doing another season of Paradise. What should've been a fun alternative to the traditional progression system in this game, turned out to be another major chore which you HAVE to do because most of the rewards are worth pursuing. But the amount of RNG involved in the process just tilts me off. Oh, SG/AGS started monetizing this system too, selling hell keys in shop. Cause why not?
Zaazap: Getting handed to smile gate is worse than eos
Freeulla: hopefully we get good comms with SG if AGS is not going to be publisher...
peterhauser-p5t: When Pearl Abyss started self publishing Bdo in the West the communication got better if anything. Just take a big huff of copium, sit back and relax. It's gonna be fine. :^)
alexou857: the game has been dead for years now. So sad to see such a good game directed by greed
countyingula: What did they even do? I get the feeling all future updates are preplanned so there's really no need for people that pretty much just read off a screen to tell people what we already know is happening every month or 2. Them gettin fired changes nothing for me.
AnonW: Game is good
boredsoonyt: So, to answer your question "Are people really going to stop playing over this"? Yes. Dude. Yes. People are also going to stop spending too because they're too scared it's going to EoS. Literally EVERYONE thinks the game is going to EoS or it's at least in the back of their mind. This basically is going to ruin and kill the game.
This game might genuinely be done over this.
Benny_Netanyahu: Lol these American Lost Ark content creators gaslights and spreads as much propaganda as we do
Zaazap: well since it's not getting better might as well eos
brahmansam: Don't worry, we're getting Rings of Power S3. Now that's a good investment.
nekrovx: I will just keep playing for free and not buy any subs or spend any money anymore no matter what. I have no incentive to push farther. This is awful news for LoA
hierarchartanis8992: the cutscenes in the game especially from the final were incredibly good. it seems kind of done after we beat kazeros but i hope we´ll get english audio and service til the end
ineriRS: Losing AGS is terrible. Smilegate will not listen to anything the western community wants at all, we already saw this under AGS... it was AGS bringing in stuff like the core essence so we can get easier relic cores for Ark Grid.
Korea didn't have those at all.
Also we were spared from the really heavy and crazy predatory packs that Korea also has... also no RNG pet rerolling for stats with BC, not different tiered premium auras...
Smilegate taking over would be horrible. AGS managed well with good bandaid fixes... that shit didn't feel as much shit. Smilegate won't do that, they gonna deliver diarrhea straight onto everyone's 4head.
For anyone wishing Smilegate takes over... be careful what you really wish for. Korea is 100x worse when it comes to bad shit than west.
yami-d6h7k: poor henry I hope he jumps onto a better project with the energy he brings to the table.
mattpili: I dont think they will kill the game before milking the playerbase once the contract with ags ends, i always liked to think that the ppl at ags tried to make the game less predatory for west, that and whoever thought paradise, that person is a chad
trafalgarlaw1727: getting TERA flashbacks, i can't do this again
Grey_zin: Saintone was right, I'm glad i quit before doing kazeros i wasn't excited about at all about the raid or the ark grid system.
snowynight2929: me i just redownload lost ark and i see this video and immediately unistall LOL XD
JustDifferent-q1r: Sorry about the negative comment, but I have to say it.
A dying online game is like a dying star, it's going to leave behind an invisible black hole that will suck your soul and ruin your life, if not the financial aspect of it, it will ruin the psychological one. I am a loner but I still like the competitive aspect of online games, that's why I played them since my childhood, however I never moved in groups nor made genuine relationships with other players, and that didn't help me realize when the game is actually dying. I was perceiving the decrease in player base as a good thing for me, however it is a critical moment for someone like me to move in groups that time. The games in that state gets handed to literally mafias who will add the scummiest business models to the game, they will literally want to just milk the maximum profit from players before completely shutting down the game then move on to the next dying game.
It is a sad truth, there is no strict policies that protects us from such business models worldwide. Game is dying? alright milk the maximum and let's get the hell out of here. Pretty much the logic of the mafias.
This happened to me twice, and I sensed it coming to LA when I saw the huge lack of care for the game (others call it incompetency) while at the same time developing a mobile version of the game. Last time I checked the game, like 3 weeks ago, I felt it in my gut...same black hole I was stuck in before...I don't know what queues I picked there, but everything about it said it, the vibes of the players, the game new systems...everything. And I will for sure this time pick the "better safe than sorry" side in hopes that one day the corruption going on in the gaming industry decreases to some extent and those exploiting such opportunities will be held accountable for their doings.
