SmashAdams216: I don't know how many of the Indiana Jones movies you plan on watching (they are all fun) but the original trilogy just feels like it's own thing and I feel like each movie is better than the one before it. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was definitely the one I watched the most growing up.

abigail1st: My Dad took me to see this in the cinema when it came out. He sometimes surprised me with trips to the pictures when I was a child and wouldn’t tell me where we were going. This was one of our favourite movies along with the sequel Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom. My Dad died two weeks ago and his funeral was yesterday, so watching you watch this was a real treat, and reminded me of my Dad and my happy childhood. Thank you

Because of the size of the opening the sun can only shine through for about 15 minutes each day, and Sallah told Indy the sun reaches the Map Room (it's in the position needed for light to reach a crystal a certain height from the floor at a certain position on the floor) around 9am.

peterkoester7358: 15:30 Lucas and Spielberg framed this movie as an homage to the movie serials they grew up with, where each Saturday the theater would show a short adventure film where the hero gets into an impossible to survive situation and then the narrator cuts in with, "Come back next week to see how (Hero) gets out of THIS situation!" and the overall story would run for several months with eight to twelve individual episodes.

This film plays the same game - You have a dangerous trap or situation, the hero gets caught in it, he thrillingly escapes the trap, plot development occurs, the hero falls into another dangerous trap, wash, rinse, repeat.

caseymoe816: For background, Lucas and Spielberg were huge fans of so-called “serial” or “cliffhanger” movies—a brilliant Hollywood marketing device of the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s where short action/thriller movies typically left the audience hanging. If you wanted to see how the story ended (or continued), you had to buy a ticket the next week to find out. This movie captures the essence of how those films used thrilling action and heroic protagonists to save the girl/the world/the treasure and ultimately win the day. This movie is that: Pure fun.
