999karai: returning players? new players? take one look at steamDB graph and you clearly see that's fake news, and honestly there us literally 0 reasons to come back to the game, the main problems are still there amplified to 11 , last loa-on was just director sucking up to whales and also effectively blocking anyone but whales doing the new raid till the first whale group clears, but lets go over the main problems:

1) no honing nerfs - director was VERY adamant that he will NOT nerf honing costs currently (to maintain value whales put in to hone chars)

2) relic books - you thought 20k for a grudge book back than was bad? how about 320k for a single adrenaline book?

3) accesories - RNG RNG RNG , you want good accesories? be ready to pay out 250k per accesory.

4) gatekeeping - as soon as you lose your mokoko leaf you are DONE, you will NOT get into groups again so easily

5) tier 4 gems - there was no reset, lvl 10 of T4 cost 2m gold per gem and than director wants to NERF gem acquisition rate...

6) free Los/LWC 30 ? - great, but he put in new elemental dmg sets that you need to collect like earth for mordum etc... which you dont get a single card of

Tulkeleth: 1 chaos, 1 guardian, and no more Una's are the biggest changes for returning/new players. Feel like those should've been mentioned even if chaos/guardian changes are quite old at this point.

rjacks3284: nah the future of loa is cross platform mobile loa made with ue5. dailies on the go, raid on the pc or console.

ppl still playing outdated ue3 loa are just wasting effort.

robertpowell1743: This is the best time to return to the game i havent played in 2 years i boosted my top 3 to 1600 and im farming matts for Valkyrie. With gems she can be a true main, dps or support with just a few swaps im full sending when she drops.

gorannisevic5944: Appreciate for your Videos @ImDefild. You make good videos and explain it very good. But Lostark won’t have many new or return players. Too many things still not fixed to help new or return Players to catchup to endgame. In some points it goes in the right direction. But with Kazeros Raid we get an other big Passive Power to grind. There are too many for a T3 char to get all. Hope SG will change this in future

ayanafreemen5098: IS already too expensive seeing as people really saving real unbound gold, which they have right too, for very hard battle kazeros! And when female paladin comes it becomes another real unbound gold zink as people need to buy accessories or gems in AH which can become very expensive up to 30mil unbound golds to be honest even as new or returning player. While there is indeed some perks on solo mode. Solo mode is just another ways for player to only gain SCAM bound gold that moves players goalpost even more. permanently gatekeeping them away from AH to even buy expensive items and gems (unless some forced to rmt and/or p2w). We see whats cooking but last thing we need is another form of scam bound gold into normal raids that waste players time and moving goalpost and progression even more because they cant afford buy good items in AH.

realname2158: Yeah no.....new players will quit. Two huge issues plague the game STILL. Gatekeeping and gold collecting, (which ties directly into gatekeeping). So one BIG issue basically. And with the new stat system where someone with a lobby can look at another character stats just trying to get some experience and some gold, and those stats make "veterans" like you laugh, the newer players have zero chance of progression. You need MILLIONS of gold to hone past 1540. So you need 6 gold collecting characters ALL running raids weekly to even hope to reach mid 1600's let alone get close to 1700 on ONE of your 6 characters. And don't forget, smilegate makes CC swipe games where you need to BUY from the shop honing materials. Forget the game market, you''d need a bil gold to buy enough mats there to get your character honed. Most players left the western servers because they couldn't progress and those people might log in again and see nothing has changed and will leave again. The servers have diehard core groups of endgame level players, maybe a couple of dozen or so who play exclusively with each other. I watched chat in N Vern where a player was BEGGING for Argos help to advance their character....yet thanks to the empty server and the endgame players never returning to even look at N Vern, maybe offer to help a new person, you can't even get the Argos blood you need. The game STILL sucks for NEW and returning players. No one is there in game to teach them anything let alone help with the basics. Once smilegate realizes the server rent costs outweigh the profit, the western servers will start to be shut down like most of these games do.

smarty2068: I played the game for maybe 10-15 hours at launch and returned about 2 weeks ago. Almost have one character to 50 and then realised this event is coming. Timing is perfect and happy to check it all out

ikouv: As someone who played a fair amount on release and stopped at 1300ish. I got a few questions if anyone can oblige

- Are solo raids viable? Can you be fully geared , BIS etc only by doing solo content?

- Do you still have to farm rapport with a gazillion of npcs?

- Is it still p2w?

- Is honing still such a pain where you waste tons of mats to get tiny upgrade?

Midgert89: Engravings was my biggest issue way back when. That combined with Pheons made alts really unplayable unless you had a ton of gold to spend.

Unfortunately, 90% of new SEA players in my community got turned off by

- High Ping (170ms-250ms)

- Poorly Optimized Game Engine (Relatively Low FPS Compared to Other Servers)

We can't read Chinese, but we've decided that we'd rather play on CN or TW server for lower ping and better performance and game management team. We love Lost Ark. But AGS made a mistake not launching SEA server.
