And now Hollywood is so strapped they just fall back on remakes hoping to make any kind of profit. Taking risks is what has saved film companies in the past, and it's the only thing that will fix the current issues.

brandonbuchner1771: For the scene where Indy is up close and personal with the king cobra they actually put a piece of plexiglass between Harrison Ford and the snake. In the original VHS release, you can actually catch a bit of reflection from the plexiglass. I don’t know if they cleaned that up with later DVD and digital releases, but it’s definitely there in the original.

YTEdy: Raiders is probably the most memorable film from 1982, but that was a good year for movies. Chariots of Fire. On Goldon Pond (which I thought was a little slow). Reds. Atlantic City. Arthur, which went for some cheap laughs, but it was still very well acted.

It's cool that it got nominated. Adventure films usually don't even get a nomination.
