adriancortez5479: Very good list! As a new player choosing an easy class is very helpful as learning the raid patterns is much more demanding than in other games. You dont want to be stuck focusing on positioning, rotation and raid pattern as a new guy.

orlock20: Sharpshooter Companion is the best alt in the game. It is the only character that can do a non combat task and a combat task at the same time. A non combat task is things such as talking to a NPC, chopping down a tree and moving from place to place without stopping. The combat task here is the silver hawk, the companion, which attacks on its own. The silver hawk can one shot normal monsters. These monsters can drop things for what is called the adventure tome. Completing missions in the adventure tome gives the characters in your roster buffs. Some of those things the monsters drop for the adventure tome can be sold for non bound gold (gold that can be used by the whole roster). Even in the earliest parts of the game, creatures can drop valuable tome items, because many players would rather buy those items than kill monsters to get them.

The main character is the character referred to as the character used for raids which is considered end game content. This character will be the strongest character you have. This strength gets expensive and requires a lot of end game currency which is gold. That's where the alts come in and why non bound gold is so important.

felixbirke6851: It's really cool how much effort you always put into guides for new players. Thank you so much for that. As a relatively new player who started with the Valkyrie this summer, I'd like to disagree a bit here.

I don't think supports are the best classes for beginners. Supports are absolutely top-notch compared to DPS, but as a new support, you're not competing against new DPS, but against other supports. And there are a few things I find much more difficult as new support vs. new DPS.

1. Experience:

The early game is purely solo. You play as a DPS. Therefore, you'll be much more practiced playing a DPS than a support much sooner.

The only content before group raids is the Guardian Raid, where you can practice your support style. And that's only once a day.

2. Playstyle:

As a DPS, you have your eyes on the battlefield the whole time. You can recognize attack patterns much more easily with minimal practice. As a support, you have to monitor the boss, your teammates, the buff bar, and the unit frames.

3. Impact

As a new player, you'll make many mistakes. These have a much greater impact as a support. For example, if you die as a support, it's nearly impossible for the group to defeat the boss.

the only fun is raids at launch and fighting for mvp, returning players will never get to experience that unless they spend like a dumbass.

lost ark is eosing soon. lost ark mobile will replace it. lets see if they change the systems in lost ark mobile or will it be just like lost ark 1
