APozzatto: WoW players dont like their own game, but hate to see it criticized. GW2 players have proud of their game, works with critics and keep spreading good vibes about it.

Btw… just look at so many WoW videos speaking about their frustrations and anger around the the game and game modes… its constant.

Search for GW2 contents and mostly about the ppl that are trying it for the first time. It says everything.

Cavemale2000: I went from Everquest to WoW, then abandoned WoW for GW2 when it launched and never looked back: GW2 is a better game.

Hysters: I played wow for like 18 years. the problem with wow players is all the nice players quit years ago, and now all thats left is the addicts that bash on every other game in order to justify their addictions.

I said it on your previous video but noticed how no one said wow was bad, but they see anything to do with wow players playing something else as "wow is bad." It’s basically projection. They themselves don't like the game and refuse to acknowledge it because they've been doing it for so long and can't cope with it, so they project.

wkdpsin: I started 3 odd months back, not on steam. Players in every zone 24/7. Happy player and in GW2 to stay.

MisterNonspecific: The player count numbers on Steam are deceiving, for the reasons you already described. I wish there was some sort of large disclaimer there, informing people of the truth. But player count arguments aside, if GW2 was a dead game, then Anet wouldn't be making new content for it today. The latest expansion is just proof of the games vitality.

jrovel07: Provoking people, finding ways to be rude and an overinflated ego applies to the majority of players left on WOW. Any chance to bash someone or something is quickly jumped upon to stroke their ego. They're no longer interested in the Multiplayer aspect from what I experienced going back into it. It's all about ME, ME MEEEE!!! There may be a few "normal" people left that actually want to meet and paly with other people, but the toxicity of the wow players that are left drive new players away and these people can't accept that it's them that's killing their own game.

lxvejetty: Thank you for defending GW2. This game is the best MMO we have right now. 30-60k daily and many many more weekly. People are blind when they are hard stuck…

TheDynamicDuffy: You cant win with some people sadly to some blizz can do no wrong and everything else is either trash or a failed copy in the eyes of wow players. I recently quit wow and found GW2 honestly it feels a million times better the player base is nicer their is a lot less pressure in terms on needing to be on every day grinding to get that 1 item that prob wont drop. Honestly just keep doing your vids dont let them provoke or get to you your content is great cant wait to see more.

witchapparatus: I'm very new, and was just looking for a quiet experience that I could derp around and RP with my husband on. I'm not disappointed, and the community is very active. Don't get me wrong, Anet could improve on a LOT, but it's not a bad game at all.

VoraxesMMO: Glad you like GW2. After playing it for many years I gave up on it because "healer" didn't really feel like "healer". I think it's great for exploration, farming gold/mats, farming legendaries, doing horizontal content. But in the end the classes all felt "meh" to me so I gave up on it. I have very high hope for GW3 going in a different direction, much like GW1 and GW2 are gameplay-wise two completely different games.

misterhorse8327: The thing with WoW is its dedicated players have this sunk-cost fallacy, which has accrued not because of what they collected in-game, but with the subscription costs they have sunk, the cosmetics they have bought from the cash shop, and the box price of the expansions. Of course they're gonna double down their MMO.

I'm glad I got out before WoW's cash shop was even implemented (left during Cata).

dante8506: WoW made me run away because I didn't had time to stay on the gear grind. GW2 has always been so good this way, horizontal progression is fantastic, that's why I stick with it, no need for gear fomo, great combat, cosmetics, and a lot of players. You always find people in any area, is a fantastic game and it respects my time and life.

The community is great, and even the raid guilds are great at mentoring and making it accesible and friendly. WoW is brutally toxic is this regard, the total opposite.

Besides, 95% of the population at the very least is on the stand alone client. Steam is such a small sample, people are unable to read.

whitesimo5083: I've played every mmorpg out on the market, and i can tell Gw2 its something different, honestly at first its hard to understand but its great and it have so much to do, honestly wow community its ultra toxic and ultra stoopid, guys, while i was playing wow at least 70% of the ppl there were chinese gold farming bots for rmt, here in gw2 they are almost unseen mostly cause the bots usually goes underneath the floor so you can't see them, not like wow that you just go somewhere and its full of sitting guys that are 24/7 and wake up instantly when mobs respawns, blizzard its scared of turtle wow, while turtle wow have like 60/80 k players, why is that? because they knwo thats a huge amount of REAL players, not playing their game, and they are scared cause they know wow its overpopulated by rmt bots

In_Dog_We_Trust: I play both games and I've seen people in GW2 talk shit about other MMO's to, the same with FF14 and WoW, this whole "My game is better then yours" bullshit is dumb. Its not just WoW players. Video game tribalism is for the lolz...saying one game is better then the other is subjective to the player experience. MMORPG's are my favorite games and to be honest aside from the games that already exist, the genre kind of sucks now.

With servers being shutdown and studios being dissolved over night there doesn't seem to be any hope of anything new anytime soon.

user-gt3nj5nu6o: I play wow for 17 years, i played GW2 on release, got that hero band preorder ring if you know what i am talking about.I dropped it few weeks later .I came back to GW2 few weeks ago and play reaper as well. These are two very different games. And they can both be good in their own way. I still prefer wow, but i am playing gw2 until new wow expansion comes out. It’s hard for wow player to adjust to this games playstyle . No classic trinity, combat is way different…I personally think this game is awesome in everything except pvp. As someone who is very pvp oriented( Multiple gladiator titles, Highly rated in League, years of CS) I personally think this game have probably the worst version of pvp i ever played, but there are also so many great things this game does well. Take care.
