Mythic00: If the graphics are better than you remember, that may actually be true. Two or three years ago they did some upgrades to core game graphics. From DirectX 9 to 11, I think. As well as more setting options, though some of that is like being able to turn off other players' effects. May be worth it to look through the game options menus if you haven't already.

Keck282: You can get Total Makeover kits to get more cosmetic looks for your character model, especially for hair and beards.

embreis2257: glad to learn you really enjoyed it and the title claim ('losing it') was spot on. GW2 is a great game and could potentially entertain you for many years - there is so much stuff to explore but even more to learn and finally to master. you won't miss the gear tread mill and can indulge in fashion wars.

if you are looking for "long term motivation" a la traditional endgame content, try to collect all achievements from Raids, Fractals and Strike Missions and then go on and make a name for yourself in WvW and sPvP - ofc you could try both these game modes already as a non-lv 80 character. it doesn't matter for sPvP but for WvW you might feel a slight disadvantage of not having all masteries, skills, specialisations etc but this shouldn't keep you from trying as it isn't meant to frustrate you. seriously, I went into these game modes and had a lot of fun. stick to your team in WvW and enjoy the ride.

It has the classic mmo feel of slower paced combat and enemies that absolutely wreck you. A cool thing about guild wars 1 actually is npc's use the same skills as players which makes combat very fun and interactive. Additionally, guild wars 1 is actually popping off atm with the rerelease and the addition of a hardcore mode.
