benlee9133: Have been running Amalgam for a while and I feel pretty unkillable. I run it with Alchemy with as many elixirs as possible, downside (or upside depending on your playstyle) is that you can't run kits because you don't have room, you get 100% uptime on all boons including regen and resolution. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, it scratches an itch the other specs just don't.

boschmitch: it is very easy to be bias with open world builds because you have to balance the MECHANICAL aspects (average to high damage, self sustain, self booning, consistent condition application, mobility, escape potential or forgiving to rotation mistakes), with the FUN aspect (flashy and engaging animation, engaging playstyle (not forced to be in a piano rotation), flexibility to damage type (power or condi), or ease of access, and usually the reason one is playing open world builds).

hikaruyuugure6900: I agree with vindi and herald. They have been used to solo things like silent surf cm final bosses. Hizen has shown them off a lot. First with herald then later with vindi. However their dps has gotten a LOT lower then it used to be. Which makes it not feel as good as they did.

For ritualist.......

Even if they tune the numbers down there is still the combo of soul reaping / fear of death trait and blood magics / blood bank trait.

The F skills give 30% life force and with fear of death they give 45% life force. Using all F skills whenever they come off CD and spamming all your shroud skills you keep full barrier and you can stay in shroud forever.

Currently this can still do 20k dps in zealot. It may drop to 13k after balance but that is still really really really good. If your summons go down and / or you get hit hard at range to blow full barrier and 70% life force at all times then you fall out of shroud however this is extremely rare to ever happen and if you keep dual swords on then you can easily get 50% life force back by single hitting the sword skills, dont double tap and spend hp. You can leap around and heal at a range / generate barrier to survive until you can pop back into shroud. Even if blood / blood bank, soul reaping / fear of death, ritualist, zealot gets nerfed down from 20k to 13k it will still be immortal. This would still be immortal even if the dps dropped from 20k to 10k.

Even if they half ritualists dps it is still immortal. The fact they gave a RANGED spec a reaper hp shroud and lets them use blood bank is stupid enough. I doubt that will change and means they stay immortal.

However if they take life force regen off the F skills so you cant regen life force well in shroud.... at least you would fall out of shroud over time. If they did not give harbringer an hp shroud why give ritualist it.......... Makes no sense.

RobeatWorld: galeshot is unkillable if you have mace/mace as a backup. it's so powerful and a fun gameplay loop.

nexeus7302: Amalgam A tier? Really? Current spec is literally unkillable (not yours. yours actually is very squishy). Soloed Deimos in about 12min time. Also mechanist is one of the best off the new spec for solo. WIth ritualist and p/p your mech becomes a monster. I've soloed everything, including legendary bounties. And your amalgam spec sucks big time. Take a look at Hizen's build (for example), really and learn how actually Amalgam works. Your list is completely wrong on so many classes.

Edit: Insanely wild for me to hear "squishy with 30k" while I've been playing Ele and Mesmer and neither cracking above 17k HP at best.

Des.dinova: Cele troubadour with axe/torch and staff is amazing for solo at the moment, I’d personally have it as an “easy” tier. The amount of note generation keeps the sustain insanely high and the harp covers any moment that you can’t attack a boss, on top of that with the right traits and usage you can generate notes very quickly even without a target, something I’ve always felt was a major weakness for Mesmer specs before it. There is easy access for stealth when pressure gets to be too much sometimes, and the elite skill helps with upkeep and survivability a lot. I agree with your placement though, I don’t think the damage output is insane at the moment. But it does hit pretty hard still!
