Warrior main here, i think you didn't miss anything important warrior is just one of the easily accessible classes. I'd say it's hard to master but in fact it's just a class about variety.

Biouke: You can equip most weapons which makes for great build variety, you can customise the gameplay to your liking. You hit things until they die, sure, but you know ALL the ways one can hit things until they die XD

My fav build so far is spell-breaker with shield and mace as main weapons, stacking boons each time I counter, block or CC. Since the kit has many defensive tools already I can go with glass canon stats making it high-risk, high-reward and very fun :)

Also, you can do a dope Rambo cosplay with a longbow and either rifle or dagger torch XD

KibblesDoesStuff: Is warrior boring? Sure, but what no one mentions is how warrior in every game consistently has the heaviest, and best feeling melee combat. Audio design always sounds more impactful on warrior in any game

For Norn, Berserker (Possibly associated with the Bear for the ferocity).

For Charr, Berserker for Blood Legion (as well as for Flame Legion to ignite themselves), Bladesworn for Iron Legion.

For Sylvari, Berserker (in a cool way, or hot in this case, you can look up my creation Conflargration of Walpurgis Night in GW2 Reddit), and Bladesworn, due to Volatile bullets are made of Amber Resin from the Petrified Woods in Echovald Forest.

For Asura, Spellbreaker for their magical properties and to counter it and Bladesworn for the technology.

For Humans, Spellbreaker and Paragon for Elonians, and Bladesworn for Canthans.
