Beriorn: Evoker's gimmick used to be that it dealt more damage through its attacks than the other specs, but with these nerfs you might as well play Elemental Empowerment Catalyst for a 20% boost across the board.

kevinlin92: Thanks for killing my ele spec again, ANet. Road toad specialized elements evoker, RIP, you'll be missed. You were the most fun I've ever had as an ele main and you weren't even broken, just very enjoyable. You paid for the sins of fire and air evoker, so I think I'm going to take a break from the game until the next patch.

I can understand retuning for PVP balance, but all the Evoker PVE nerfs are honestly just ignorant and spiteful. It still had several issues that make it not as worthwhile as playing Tempest, but it was the first half decent spec since HoT that's actually approachable and enjoyable to play.

joshanonline: Anet doesn't 'Balance' anymore. They long since forgot what that word means. Classes are the most unbalanced they have ever been since conception, even if their DPS is equal, they differ in capabilities. Always have. So there is no such thing as 'Balance patch' it's just 'Nerf patch.' Let's call it what it is. And it was overdue, yes, dps wise anyway. New VOE specs still lacking or incomplete.

Quiet_Rebellion7: I'm definitely choosing a new main after the ele nerfs. I have been playing catalyst forever and it's incredibly effective and boring. Evoker was different enough and fun to play, but if Catalyst is just gonna be stronger again, I'll pass on ele.

ThatGaudyFox: From my own testing, Pure DPS Ritualist is still pretty strong even after the nerfs. It's not overwhelmingly powerful to the point it ass-blasts everything straight to oblivion anymore, but it shouldn't have been to begin with. The nerfing of the base numbers and the fixing of the Spirit's Strength bug just means a bit more of Rit's power budget was focused into the "Pure DPS" trait rather than Rit being an overwhelming, face-stomping powerhouse across the board in every conceivable category.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how surgical the nerf was. I was fully expecting it to become almost wholly unplayable because I was terrified that ANet would either cripple the traits/gameplay loop somehow or overcorrect on the numbers to the point of rendering the poor thing unviable like they did with Scourge back when they first did the Shade Duration/Alac rework a couple years ago before they course corrected and salvaged it from the abyss. Ritualist's gameplay loop and general playfeel is still wholly intact, but with the more outrageous nonsense reigned in and its power budget shifted a bit so the QDPS build and the Pure DPS build aren't doing basically The Exact Same Damage.

void2258: Nothing to address specifically Ritualist being able to do full quickness in Berzerker's gear instead of needing to use something with concentration. Hit overall damage for everyone without addressing this.

DespicableMe007: Why ppl are sulking ? when in a random pug of 10, top 5 dps are ritualist (including 2 qdps), nerf bound tooo happen, it was pretty ridiculous as if its a bug and ppl were exploiting it
