balthazargreen: I'm just going to say it'd be a very boneheaded idea to make a Guildwars 3 right now the way the current gaming market and such is going. It'd destabilize the Gw2 community and eventually cause division making it harder to maintain Gw2 AND Gw3. It'd be a very very bad idea releasing a new MMO in the current climate of gaming as of the latest shutdowns of other MMORPGS. It's inviting disaster where it would quite clearly kill ArenaNet as a studio. The people pining for Gw3 are foolish and greedy as they seriously don't understand the catastrophe a failed launch of an MMO in an already dwindling market could be.

1. They call the update a road map.

When you call something a roadmap you're setting the expectations on the table.

By not saying that you're working on the expac in your roadmap it does come off like you're working on something else; When the following years expectations are wrapping up the previous years content- it's like having a partner wanting to celebrate their birthday weekend with you and you tell them you'll be spending the entire weekend cleaning a dish from last nights dinner lol

2. Guild Wars one has been doing some incredible work, and it honestly deserves much more love. Sitting back on the couch with a controller on the big screen lends itself heavily on the enjoyable side for what the game offers; and the new content is VERY fun. As a level 1 ranger, dodging wolves and elementalists in presearing and navigating my dhuum covenant on controller has been so fun! Really should have announced it in the blog!

3. If there is an expansion coming- you need to be transparent unless it's some kind of literal end game and you don't want to let the cat out of the bag sort of speak.
