relentlessnights4211: I think videos like this are important. We should be critical of our passions, hobbies, and how we spend our time. Please talk to us anet, please be candid and composed, thoughtful and intentional, with direction and game goals. What is going on, we love you, love us back.
Falcodrago: I have a feeling expansion 6 will be the last one, and it might be for the best, this semi-maintenance mode is so painful to see.
randomninja9898: yeah this patch was bad ... i love this game but we are getting nothing out of this ... i think they need to tell us whats going on inside.
this game have a great and supportive community, use it in your favor !! this is clearly not a preority project ... and if it is, jesus crist ...
PrincessYolda: Oh thank you, I was raging all evening yesterday. This patch was made by a single underpaid intern and it looks like I'm not the only one who noticed xD
cyborg7162: I stopped after SotO release because i didnt want to ruin so many years of good memories
Felt like gw2 is now about skins and gemstore only, the quality of the content has severly downgraded since this new xpac model
nebylicza: I don’t know what people expect. It was all downhill since EOD.
bullsx2: The worst part in my opinion is the ¨QoL¨, the gobbler thing and telporter are so unwieldy without a proper UI it's almost better to use the normal items rather than dig through a bunch of menus. This will hurt the game in the long run and even GW3.
If they were going to pull away this much from the game they might as well just put the game in hiatus until GW3 instead of starting a new story arc and properly fucus on game polish and smaller independent releases.
It's not like they are strangers to content droughts.
segmanYT: Map boss name is Lactation. It is a reference to the fact that the only purpose of after EoD expacs is to milk the game to its grave.
Raapnaap: They should just stop trying to tell stories in GW2 when they cannot do it properly. GW2 had a lot of foundational work to build from thanks to GW1. GW2 is slaughtering every piece of lore and the stories they try to tell to the point that GW3 will have nothing to build from. Honestly they should just add one final short story to the game where the "Commander" retires, and then bridge the gap between GW3 with pure gameplay updates.
Edit: I do have to disagree with Janthir launching well. They had rich Mursaat and White Mantle lore to work with and all we got was a bunch of inaccessible ruins consisting of copy-pasted art assets. Talk about a major let-down right there.
Moinsen15: I played the story and, tbh, I was just disappointed. I can live with it being short but at least make engaging. This was just weird. And then, I closed the game and left. Will be back for the next xpac I guess. Lets see what Anet is announing soon.
fatmanpez: Both Janthir and Soto had strong beginnings, Soto was bland in parts 2 and 3 and Janthir was bland in part 2 and 4 feel. After finishing it a few hours ago I feel like the problem was with how underwhelming the final fight was, the battles at the end of the first two parts felt grand and large but part 4 felt like it was going somewhere with a large battle and then it just sort of ended in what I expected to be the battle before the final battle. Soto's final battle was actually really neat despite barely remembering anything from the middle of that Expansion's story. At the same time I'm not particularly sad about it but I don't feel the same level of patting myself on the back after that last battle like all the previous expansions. It just feels like there's a big chunk missing from the tail end which is disappointing because I love everything they introduced in the first part of the expansion.
awakenedBanana: Remember when some of us assumed and hoped that the model change was the representation of Anet having faith in gw2 and what they've achieved with it. I was sceptical only for a little, before I started dreaming of a world where Anet delivered constant quality updates. And now, I feel like an idiot for supporting this change and I just want to find a way to forget about the game.
Honestly, I blame myself and those similar to me, because even though we were supportive of the game, we never critisized it. I'm really starting to believe that the WoW community does it best with their negativity. We should also keep Anet on their toes and express our dissapointment more clearly. There should be more videos like this one and more people talking like this about the game.
daveross37: The story ending was so underwhelming.
MouthWash-v4d: and this is our patch for the next 147 days
Cameron_David_: same thing as SOTO: launch is good, follow ups are bad with the last 2 janthir maps being pretty poor and the antagonist being really underwhelming. I still think the spear was a great addition to the game, people just forget the good stuff after a few months.
SteveWray: Amalgamated gemstones for 150 research notes each is just utterly insulting. When it was announced, I was hopeful that they might have realised what tedium it was crafting and salvaging. Then they use amalgamated gemstones.
Anet, you SUCK.
LadyWolverine9: Did you see how many people in the credits supposedly worked on this? What were they doing?! That and the fact that they give credit for voices that WEREN'T THERE! F them; they don't want to do their jobs, they don't get credit. Not sorry. I'm fed up.
I died 5 times after completing the meta and being ported to the 'safe' area, just waiting for the map to be safe to do completion. I like the map, but I'm so tired of dying constantly for no reason.
ratatabOOmsmrdis: yea, if theres gonna be next expansion, I am not buying.. just waitiing for new game cuz arenanet showed us more passion in making final tittles, than whole expansion... Total shit.. I was so hyped and I am so disapointed.
3renegade3: I've been so patient, but I totally agree. This is a joke. Questioning whether I will continue playing future expansions or GW3 at this point.
La.máquina.de.los.sueños: As a GW1 vet... I almost completely lost faith in Anet. When you think it can't get any worse... they manage to make something even crappier. We lost SOOOOOooo much during the last years... and accepted it because being lied into empty promises. It will backfire as old and new players will just leave. If homesteads are that successful it's because the rest of the expansion isn't worth to be played anymore... but it's a fad who wont last till GW3. What happened to GW1 and happening to GW2 will also happen with GW3... and people start to realize it.
segmanYT: Guild Wars 2 has been dead since EoD.
CLASSYX: this is the worst expansion ever in gw2. even soto was better!
AH-ut8uv: This game has been recycled wars 2 for a long fucking time. And when I said this years ago, I got a lot of heat. New elite specializations reused a bunch of animations, enemies being reused, reused annual events, etc. There's barely anything new in this game at this point. With every patch/update, we get 60% recycled garbage, 20% balancing/qol changes, and 20% new content.
Nils456: If the Gorse-boss gets CCd, the meta wont end after the heart/lung events. Instead there will be a boss after it too - dont know why its this way
choonblaze: I stopped in August of 2021 when they had nothing in the game but "return to" events for months. Then I saw the EoD reveal and the trailer. I laughed so hard to see how pathetic it was compared to HoT and Pof. "Fishing and skiffs" as expansion features lmao. I still get a chuckle out of that. I moved on to ESO and could not be happier. Much better game.
It genuinely baffles me that people waited this long to (the middle of 2025 ffs) to realize they were being milked hard. What's next, wait 7 more years in hopium? "Well, they will do great next year I'm sure of it!". Worst of all is the amount of time you will never get back wasting on a washed up GW2 and miss out on experiencing much better mmos. Sad.
Webz-r4y: Release Guild Wars 3 now!
