Flask777: Just started guild wars a week ago its takes about a good 5days for everything to click in terms of understanding how the game works its very different from other big MMOs (in a good way) but once you hit 80 get a plan of action and then its the most fun I've ever had in a mmo so far would recommend greatly just don't stop before 80 Trust the process.

New players: Metabattle is your friend. Customizing builds is complicated. Start with a "proven winner" and tweak from there.

realbaconoverlord: I just started about a week and a half ago. The game is.. eh. It's not bad. It's not great either. It's just kind of another MMO, really. The only thing that sets it apart is that skills are tied to weapons and having multiple elite specializations can be interesting... if you haven't already built your entire character and gear toward the other specialization. Ultimately there really isn't that much "build" to the game though. There are no points really, you get everything eventually, there are no skill points, no attribute points, the specializations are over simplified and even end-game builds don't feel "strong". Everything is balanced to the point that choice of classes don't seem to make much difference except a few nuances between them. It's just kind of bland overall and if there's a "gotcha"... I haven't seen it yet.

myselfme767: I have many best reasons and one of them is how many things you can do in GW2 and the fact you can get end game gear from playing only open world. The game is so vast, there are so many things to do, it never gets boring.

Snailmet: I played from Beta until EoD and stopped before Soto - even though I did buy that expansion out of solidarity. I would love to come back, but it sometimes feels a bit overwhelming. So much new stuff Ooff!
