gwmsts: Bringing power creep in line is a welcome change and honestly I think they could go a bit further but man I wish they'd look into tuning the HP on the post-EoD content. Personally I think the fights nowadays tend to drag on.
tBarkEditing: Imo it's a painful but necessary patch, seeing Anet try to address the power creep is really REALLY good.
But I have a few buts:
1 - They need to address the content, specially the sponges that soak damage and takes ages to die, EVEN POWER CREPT
2 - The Weaver nerf bothered me, a lot. The class doesn't have utility, the damage is "average" compared to other classes that do a lot more, and the skill ceiling is a lot higher to actually perform at the same dps as the other classes. It felt unnecessary, just let the "hi dps class" actually do only dps
Alistair_Cross: I don't really get nerfing weaver specifically, but I totally understand the desire to lower power across the board. It can only be healthy in the long run.

lightynide: If they intend to be committed to keeping older content relevant there needs to be an equal commitment to fixing bugs in older content as well. Those KO bugs have been there for 4 years and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Snackbar916: What Anet should have done is for every boss and NPC in the game, you give it a value in a database with the balance patch associated with its release. Compare prevailing DPS benchmarks then to benchmarks now and you can adjust all those NPCS to 'on level' with the newer content.

lightynide: so begins another Season of the Dead Game in GW2 as lingering dreams of cm progs are crushed, fine tuned builds and hard earned gear are destroyed, and the shadow of decay creeps into every Discord as players leave for greener pastures until their spirits can recover, though some will never return.

Absolutely do not like these changes... I'm ok with depower creeping but like... Can we not do EVERYTHING in 1 go? That's how the game gets unplayable from experience... Been here since hot and this seems a bit extreme imo especially with them indirectly nerfing things that are just not doing well ATM like Herald and soulbeast (soulbeast is alright ATM won't be after this with both the nerf patches it took to the face)

ogrejd: Yay for drawing back the power creep - but doing absolutely NOTHING beyond "We'll keep an eye on it for the hardest encounters" (and nothing about the rest of the PvE content that will be badly affected) about the zones and enemies that weapons and skills were tuned for, causing the power creep in the first place. :/ (ie, the game will be seriously un-fun as of the 14th)
edit @ - Yep. Pistol/Pistol Thief with its 15k DPS really needed nerfing (and, yes, I just tested my P/P Deadeye on the golem). Bah. It is good against trash, but absolutely mediocre when it comes to champs or bosses. Also, Deadeye Stolen Skills needed nerfing? Their damage is already so low that if I didn't need Steal Time (via Fire for Effect, with Improvisation to use twice and Mercy to reload my Mark) for the sake of giving Quickness, I'd NEVER use them thanks to the DPS loss they cause due to their low damage and how they put me into Stealth and shut down my normal attacking...
alexershv: Weaver nerfs are totally undeserved, class have 0 utility, and now even less damage, it feels like you have to suffer if you want to play weaver
jrovel07: I'm all for bringing down the power some on all, but I'm also for balance. Every class should have it's differences and not all need to do exactly the same amount of damage, but to have 5 classes do 8-9k dps more than the best build of another class?? And then you nuke even the classes at the bottom? It's like stepping on those players that like that playstyle and saying "Yeah, your damage will FOREVER be in the basement".
Rayd1214: Nerfed every build I play by a lot. Lame. I am not a hardcore player just a casual. I just don't want to feel weaker just because some try hards hit high numbers.
