Everything you said is how I've felt when trying out specs.

Engineer is all A or S. That's a lot of fun options in one profession. I wish I liked brown tones more. Too much time on mesmer and guardian. Im a flashy animations addict now.

enternius: 26:29 Did you notice that they un-nerfed Multishot? This was a change they did before you made the Untamed build a year or so ago, I mentioned it in a comment back then that they had recently nerfed Multishot so that the projectiles no longer pierce with Lead the Wind. It shoots 5 projectiles, and if you stacked 5 enemies up it pierced all 5 enemies with each projectile for 25 hits in a single burst. They nerfed that because you could spike absurdly high DPS (and I think they were probably planning Galeshot at the time so they didn't want a ranger Untamed build being in the spotlight). It seems, however, with the July 14th patch, that they un-nerfed it and didn't announce it, so the old piercing functionality is back. I have no idea if it's intentional but I'm loving it.

myselfme767: What’s your scrapper ow build? I love scrapper so much, it’s the one elite spec that made me really get into Gw2 after many attempts to like the game. I made it 3 years ago for the labrynth. It’s so good for tagging everything during metas, I love it so much.

AudaciousOccultist: 4:56 Biggest issue with Reaper is that everyone and their dog plays it - just huge herds of identical Reapers everywhere you look in game. Sure, Mechanists have this issue too (and Guardians of all kinds), but Reaper’s really got it bad for that these days.

I’m sure there are ways of making Reaper ‘feel’ special and unique, no doubt, and being part of a swarm of hooded greatsword drones might actually feel pretty cool to some (an Army of Darkness, perhaps…?)

But it’s definitely worth keeping in mind as an aesthetic consideration, if aesthetic and ‘uniqueness’ form an important part of your fun requirements in an RPG. I’d consider it Reapers only real ‘fun’ weakness, mechanically.

sanguin3: Engi has the perfect options imo:

- Scrapper with perma superspeed to speed up events, plus having easy acess to essential boons, barrier generation, and many extra utilities like stealth, boonrip, reflect, etc.

- Amalgam with the same core Engi utilities, tankiness, self stab, plus big burst and massive cleave, you can easily hit everything on your screen without much effort at all.

- Holo when I get bored of Scrapper and Amalgam.

- Mechanist when I don't wanna use my brain.

SenzakuTheSin: OH god im not the only one that thinks mesmer is complete trash in most PVE Scenarios out side of things that actually take time to kill. If the clones would just switch targets it would be one hell of a QOL. I dont hate virtuoso mesmer but i feel like it lost its entire class identity by converting the clones to just a magic swords summoner like Blade and Souls Blademasters attack back in the day.
