Shopping Cartwilliamgeorge2580: Gorrik was MVP of the expansion. Rama a close second.
devinm524: watching an End of Dragons vid while playing on Shing Jea Island (again) in gw1, what a time to be alive
boxonothing4087: and yet you somehow managed to skip the best line in that ending.
I'm going to dream now
cryssoberyl5813: About the fishing, you're absolutely correct. It is in a very sour spot. Fishing effectively is inextricably tied to using the incredibly clunky skiff and constantly moving around to fresh hotspots. It's too much actual work to do passively and not interesting or enjoyable to do actively.
rafuu93: When the Soo-Won meta first came it, Arenanet actually had to nerf it as it was too hard for some players. i think it had a 30-40% clear rate
LinesteGW2: What were your thoughts on the music that plays at the end of EoD story? (A World Without You)
I think that's when I actually shed a tear. This sound track is so unbelievably good, and it tells the story perfectly. Aurene being left alone without Soo Woon to help her, carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders... Can we find our own way? Keep the darkness at bay?
Won't you linger a while...be with me through the trials...
God, this songs hits so so hard.
I am SO thrilled you've been enjoying the story so far. It's delightful to have yet another happy player in our amazing community.
Rhumolein: My next two tattoos will be Soo-Won and Aurene (who is deeply missed).
I think, I am somehow addicted to this game
s0ulb0und: Love watching your GW2 content braddah! Keep it up and looking forward to your adventures in Tyria!
sw-gs: This expansion has hillarious dialoge when you finish hidden achievements during mission, like of example:
Spoiler
When you sucessfully escape in first mission and Gorrik still narrates plan.
LilyNaikiir: Ankka's does have a plan. she's basically an accelerationist: bringing the end of the world about faster (by letting the void consume everything) while she and her crew hide out somewhere safe (the mists). She's such a nihilist (in the bad sense) and a great character/villain imo.
dewilton7712: Taimi was worried about the magical balance long before this. That is why they put a pause on killing the Elder Dragons until Jormag forced action. We did not know the exact consequence of it until EOD. We knew that Aurene would bring balance to the force.
McKillaboy: I just miss Aurene man.
arkanaloth2617: you need to play GW1. the elder dragon saga started
elocfreidon: Icebrood Saga and End of Dragons is the prime example of how much of Arenanet staff was actually working on GW2.
Barely a fourth of the devs were working on the game. Then NCSoft stepped in and forced Arenanet to fire half of everyone and divert the rest back onto the game instead of projects that were in limbo. Effectively doubling the number of people working on the game again.
What we got was this peak quality expansion.
nebylicza: It’s all downhill from here
Mytea1: good video! this expansion for sure was one of the most emotional ones gw2 has to offer
AndreJennrich: I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos.
WhitieWu: EoD is actually my least fav of the expansions. The only thing I like about it was the extra professions, the fishing and the jade bot... Unfortunately, I dont like how they handled fishing or the jade bot.
1. They should have made the fishing just like any of the other gathering. Simply purchase a fishing pole from a vendor using copper/silver that has a certain amount of uses and if you want one with unlimited uses, buy a special fishing rod from the shop. As it stands right now, there's no reason to buy a fishing eod from the market unless you absolutely had to have the look/effect.
2. ArenaNet claim that they "heard the outcry" that supposedly people didn't want to have to buy yet another gathering tool, so instead they made fishing part of a mastery... Oh, so instead of having to carry around a bunch of fishing rods, we now have a bunch of baits we have to carry around?? Also, the fishing mastery is an utter joke. They could have kept the fishing rod as a regular gathering tool, BUT the mastery could allow you to fish and use your boat in liquids you normally wouldn't be able to fish in (like lava, or poisonous waters, etc).
3. The turtle mount sucks. You should be able to use the cannon while you are driving and if you have a passenger then perhaps they too could fire an additinal shot, or play a minigame that speeds up the loading of the ammunition. It's slow and you ONLY see it at times where you have to destroy a structure.
4. I like the addition of the jade bot. What I don't like is that you have to buy upgrades for your alts if you want to use similar powerups. For instance, I love the level three ability that grants you a huge boost into the air while you are gliding. It wasn't cheap to unlock it and it won't work on my alts, which means I'd have to craft many of them and I don't want to, which results in me not wanting to play my alts.
Enemy_Operator2534: Thanks for warning about spoilers. I'm a new GW2 player and haven't played EoD expansion yet. I just started playing PoF as a matter of fact.
Opus_Fluke: And after all that you get a call from Ivan, go on another adventure and get put back in your place as Wayfinder. Which was funny! But they did my girl Mi Trin wrong. Don't care what Jory says about it (even if I am an Honorary Delaqua)!
eb9782: As someone who also loves this game and started playing this year...just prepare yourself as the expansions after EoD are really cool for new gameplay loops and systems, but terrible in comparison to the perfect integration of writing, acting and gameplay we saw in prior years. Everything just becomes "here is an instanced set piece, now go do events or renown hearts until the bar fills, now another instanced set piece." They lost their ability to integrate the game with the story - still some of the better MMO content out there but it's not the same anymore
sidxus: living world season 4 straight into this was just emotional, the death count was wild and you could feel the hearts breaking, it was some of gw2's best writing
Alpheratzi4626: "Those who face eternity easily forget what a lifetime means.
What an ending means."
AmyTazny: The dialogue for Soo-Won and Auene's final words is just so impactful, I think because they don't go into the typical long, sad, heartfelt speech. They simply state the basic fundamental fears we all have inside us: "I'm afraid to die", "I don't want to be alone". The less is more effect really shines here, I just wish they did more of that sort of writing for Janthir Wilds
mian5085: Poor Mai. If story told me anything it's never trust a lizard person.
