Shopping Cartmegs1911: I'm so grateful for already having Vision and Aurora
ashtangaaa: I had a visceral reaction when I saw it needed 52,500 research notes.
MaxentiusVI: 7 mil karma and 50k research notes is just mukked up
SnoopySnipe: Correction: the Gift of Galdra and Gift of Shadowstones are not crafted in the forge, they are bought at the map's heart vendors.
jorgeroman9916: After crafting Endless Summer, I thought that this accesory would be cheaper than Vision and Aurora... I was wrong and I'm glad I crafted the former two some time ago.
Trigarta: I don't even need this Legendary (I got Vision and Aurora), I just like to listen to Muk explain the process to make these.
Notsram77: I'm not even considering this until years down the line I happen to look down and have enough Karma. Sheesh.
I've been playing off and on since launch, and only have 3 million.
DracoMonge: You know what? I think I'm going with vision...
Jacksontruman92: Good luck to all who want to craft this. I personally would suggest crafting Aurora or vision, since they are more rewarding when working towards them. Even if a lot of their steps are more tedious
TohnR: Karma requirement is probably the most brutal thing in this leggy. Everything else is quite common. Research notes farm will be tedious but it's not that expensive...
martinb3977: No intention of ever doing this. Still watching the guide.
Peksisarvinen: They really lost their minds with the 7 million karma. It's like putting a straight 10k gold cost to a legendary and then saying "what's the matter, every event in the game drops gold, and besides, a lot of players have over 10k gold". I raid weekly and it'd still take me like half a year's worth of wing 1-8 clears to make 7 million karma. And for players who don't raid or don't have 10 years worth of karma saved up, it's practically impossible to get unless you farm orphans during Wintersday and save up for like two years. It's so arbitrary and dumb, just have players do quests and collections and achievements to earn their legendaries, instead of asking for cargo ships of random currencies. What's next, 5k spirit shards? 50k ancient coins?
minnamaus666: Thanks for the video, very interesting to see not even people making guides on it make the item themselves (understandably so). I'd like to suggest just a slight correction of math for the research notes (at 1:47) it says 52.500 needed total: but it's 50k for the stones 2,5k for the Gift of Research the weaponcollection at either 250 or 300 each weapon depending on the way you unlock them (so *17 = 4250 to 5100) - so the total would be 56750 to 57600. Everything is mentioned in the video, just the total in the beginning is slightly off, it may confuse people that use the guide and actually want to make the item.
attila0323: As a veteran player I have ~20kk karma, but I see how 7k can be a struggle for new players.
rmyoung87: Should note because everyone just balks at the amount of karma needed and walks away, that the Stella Radians is more expensive in terms of gold value (~300-400 gold at time of recording, not to mention the crazy amount of karma), the other two PvE ones are more expensive in terms of time and energy. Stella only just have to do the story and do things on map for a short while and you got everything, then just farming for gold or karma for any that you didn't already have stocked up from just playing the game.
Aurora takes literally 18 days minimum just to do ONE sub-achievement for just one thing needed to make it (and longer if you refuse to do 4 Draconic Mons hearts a day for that long) and requires doing map masteries for 6 maps and lots of currency farming on top of everything else. Vision requires similar map masteries, getting a skyscale, and similar currency farming (though with the eternal ice shard to LS4 mats it's a lot easier).
When considering time spent per legendary and value of time (i.e. opportunity cost of doing maps or achievements in lieu of more profitable activities, assume 15-20g an hour), Stella "costs" less in the long run, assuming you have the karma, which seems to be a have vs have-not situation where half the fanbase have none and the other half are still looking for sinks for it even after this. But just to be fair, Aurora and Vision take about 1 million karma themselves to make, so it's unavoidable whichever you use. Just do profitable things (maps with a lot of events, or metas with many sub-events, raid encounters or fractal, and the odd karma farm in LS4 maps, use boosters) and you often get the karma without too much effort. Just don't spend it on things you don't need and it accumulates faster than you think.
DownrightEpic: I never even had 7 mil karma in 13 years i been playing this game
Kronosxviii1: 8:48 "Next year..." -- lol, so true
rex25k: Any chance do you know why I can't purchase the Vial of liquid shadowstone even though I completed it 3 times on 3 different chars?
hollowzangetsu: No
khujagrim: Seven million karma is actually not that bad. Since the release of Stella Radians two weeks ago I have made about a million karma. If you do all of the Living World Season 3 4 and Icebrood Saga daily achievements you will be rewarded with on average 36 drips of karma and each being worth 1500 karma, for a total of 54,000 karma a day, 378,000 a week. That doesn't include any of the passive karma gained from events or other karma drops. If you are really determined to get Stella Radians the karma cost looks far more daunting than it actually is.
Caporai: Max out your Karmic Retribution for both Dragonfall and Sandswept Isles.
Sandswept Isles has nice mobs to kill and the Specimen Chamber is the event you would like to participate, as it spawns waves of Inquests. Tag them and let them come to your capture point. (Make sure that you don’t send your pet/minion away at their spawn point as there will be Champions that really needs to be dealt with.) Clearing this 5 min and tagging all those mons can net you between 100-200 Karmic Retribution. If you manage to Max out your Karmic, each shards nets you 200 karma, so you can get 20000-40000 karma.
The Specimen Chamber does not follow the fixed event timer, but it is repeatable and occurs every 40-45 min.
In Dragonfall, the mender and culls are good event to take down mobs.
Bjora Marches also have Karmic Retribution, but you will be rewarded through events. So Storm of Winter, Champions in map and some other events can net you good amount of karma.
sno0p3r: Ugliest visual
rex25k: Great! Mukluk pretty much sealed the deal that the price will not go down with this video.
SuglunFR: Thanks to this guide im starting Aurora and Visons.
And yes. You have a guide for this
michaelbrennan2219: When I heard there would be a pve legendary accessory coming this patch I was hoping it wouldn't cost my firstborn child. But as a new-ish player (been playing for about 7ish months) I think I'll start working towards vision and aurora
Creed109: Yeah I think I'll just continue working on Vision and Aurora
MrFace4radiO: Probably the only video I didn't TU of yours, just because it is NEVER stressed enough (this video or others) not to craft this thing till anet pulls their head out. Before anyone says, "He did say not to....." It would have only been TU if the tail of every sentence was ", but don't craft this thing till anet pulls their head out." but that isn't really practical so I didn't TD it.
Love your work by the way.
