So, about that Guild Wars 2

Haplo2006: As a trash mega casual player myself quickplay raid finder did nothing to ease me into raid content and dungeons are still the long forgotten loveless child.

lammia07: Think ui overhaul is mandatory. Don't think they should fix too much old stuff. They should focus on stuff that will hold them back in the long run as you said in the video.

sur7969: that mission pack idea for gw2 is great, ngl

i also hope they went that route. i'll definitely buy it.

gkoogz9877: They could easily keep introducing maps. They just need to build a simple daily rotation of ~2 featured maps per day with special daily rewards that lead to lots of gold. Then any map you need to do would be active guaranteed at some point in the future, allowing users to do any of the big metas with a population, just not every day.

ytisrite: They've had these issues for over a decade and now they decide to fix things when they have bigger fish to fry. Yeah something's not adding up.

Nuh: Doomers in shambles

SweetDreamsxyz: Revitalization is a name for "maintenance mode" in my view. What are people gonna do for 2 years until GW3 actually releases...

uniquename6925: I booted up the game again, remembered how terrible getting mounts is, looked at a 250 gp price, obscure and terribly documented steps, requirement to use a wiki or guide, which are also terriblely done....

Yeah, I just immediately logged out again. Not looking forward to GW3 anymore. I'm so burned out with having locked map locations requiring mounts and BS to get to them, but getting those mounts or completing collections having no starting point or even a hint as to where to go or where to speak to an NPC, that is so cooked.

The world is so silent, too. You see people flying around but talking in private chats. So you just get ignored when trying to speak. Trying to teleport to a more poplated map requires money, too... So you're getting taxed if you even want to move around.

Story progression and map progression is locked to your character, so even if I try to learn the game from scratch, I'll have to repeat hundreds of hours of content to reach the same point as a character I no longer want to play...

It was a real disappointment as a returning player, and all the issues I had that made me quit the first time are still there i forgot my keybinds and map knowledge, so I'm even more lost than I was 5 years ago...

Nancy-Miles: These truly are some great ideas I would love to see also. I really hope that someone at Anet sees this and makes most, if not all, of this happen.

n1cemaiden879: Anet's already proven they can make alternate versions of the maps with Kessex Hills. I think that style of new content would be healthier for future gw2 development and definitely can easily evade the design space problem.

I really hope they make positive meaningful changes across the board because Anet not looking back since EoD has left a lot of rough edges everywhere. Also I wanted more Cantha and to see its expansion features developed a bit more. The turtle and jade bot stuff could get a bit of an update and fishing could still use a tackle box/mounted fishing for example. They all felt underdeveloped.

gusblacksmith9: Hey Sil! I'm slowly getting back to GW2 and just started Reforged so I was wondering if something like "A better start to GW Reforged" would be a good idea for a video of yours. I've seen plenty of vids like it but somehow when YOU say something it kinda gets through my thick head more easily lol

Sneaky3711: I came back for the latest voe expansion release. Played the story and then logged off again. Theres nothing to keep me there

SirNikurasu: My god, coming from WoW - you guys are really complaining this hard about a 10th of the issues WoW has, I like it

mr.brokenone: Guild Wars 2 biggest reason why it will never be this old school grind fest MMORPG like World of Warcraft is that Guild Wars 2 doesn´t have gear progression like those other MMOS. There is no reason to play the game after you get ascendant gear unless you are addicted and you want to play multiple builds and multiple game modes than those players usually goes for the legendary gear grind. The sad reality is that once I was done with legendary gear I had no reason to continue playing because I have done everything thousand times (the same old raids, the same old fractals, the same old strikes). 14 years old MMO with less content than some of the open world singleplayer RPG.

autmarthegrand8224: I'm going back to eq

lostwingman0736: The big problem with revisiting maps with expansions is that maps are also snapshots in time. I just don't know how that could be implemented.

Jin_Yolo: I really think an option to turn of damage and xp numbers is a thing that will improve (a minority I know) clarity and enjoyment of the game for some players.

I don't like having to use a mod to be able to do that, while in every other mmo I can think of (except WoW), it's an option.

graygorson2556: And I look forward to reading and upvoting your Blog Post on the Forums so we can get some of this actually actioned on!

So many of the Boomer' Creators putting out videos like "Yay more GW2" or "Boo more GW2" like this seem to love to yap. But whenever anyone asks them about actually writing any of it on the forum feedback threads that ANet seems to actively asking for and be pulling feedback from now they go "Eh, I ain't doin that shiz" like it's beneath them, or they're dejected from feeling burned by ANet so many times. Which is a shame because a lot of the time their ideas are a lot better than what's already on the forums imo.

Justify it all yall want but unless we take action and put our money where our moths are this is all just noise and virtue signalling or "soy feedback" or whatever you want to call it. I've personally already written 2 threads and even if they're ignored or my ideas are trash, I tried. Time to put our money where our mouths are and do something gamers!

mangoman93: People already lost their shit when SotO reused assets in a new map. I don't think that a large chunk of the playerbase would take kindly to a new expansion exclusively taking place on old maps.

I'd like to see a mix of both, especially when it comes to story instances.

memerjohn1: You can have 24k hours and be a doomer. Not saying you are one, but that's not a good reason to cite

Xepent: Maintenence mode crew

RalphsJoint: Excited about the books! Great vid!

MyOrangeString: Those are great ideas for the future of GW2. Hope that's what's in store!!

OKDC: Death knell. Appreciate you sil

Azerreth4234: I wouldn't mind the expansions ... expanded previous maps? Or maybe filling in the gaps between them in the core game. Such as the doorway that leads to Elona in ebonhawk and so on. Same with the Maguuma jungle being expanded and letting us explore things, brining in Mallyck as a story-beat for that expansion and finding out there is another pale tree would be cool?

Maybe the expansions focus on reworking those maps and giving us new ones in that region. I'd love some for the Shiverpeaks and the northern area's between bjora, bitterfrost and so on? We dont need to go to completely new zones. Just fill in the spaces with fun maps for exploration, the core game had tons of maps that they never took you to? You just stumbled upon them.

pordoklanian: have a guild enabler thingy for all the metas on central Tyria, be it world bosses on a timer, the orr temples or even the ones that people do for treasure hunter and make the guild world event schematic be buyable with guild commendation , this should give an incentive for more guild play and activities and also get rid of some annoying timers

theblackishboy1105: I definitely think the achievement ui is a great suggestion ngl that would be a game changer if they overhauled how that whole thing works
