Putting financial matters aside (who in 2026 cannot afford a few euros to buy an expansion?), everyone can reach the highest ranking in sPvP without playing meta specs. I reached plat while playing mostly older expansion specs like untamed, reaper, daredevil, and mirage. There is power creep in this game, for sure, but it doesn't mean that someone cannot be a decent player and be in the top 100 if they want to, without using voe specs.

kickazz8987: Yes, in a sens, gw2 is a pay to win game because.., each expension come out with too strong builds and make approximativly (6 month to rebalance) like last expention for exemple.. so thats mean half of the time in gw2 you are playin (if you want a op spec in pvp). Imagine last expansion.. they release it without beta test. They did a week end beta but after they change 75% of content before the release. bruh.. and try balance only many months later (shame).
