NEW ELITE SPEC REACTIONS Guild Wars 2 Visions of Eternity Troubadour, Luminary Galeshot

navyrayne: You called the Troubadour the Luminary.

Lior1055: I don't like seeing jpegs of characters on Troubadour. I hope they change that. It looks super lazy.

toro_sensei: i agree the luminary feels like its missing an identity, when i first watched the trailer revealing the elite specs i just didn't understand what luminary was suppose to be no matter how many times i watched it the stream showcase made me see the vision they are going for but its just lacking that oomph you get with having a strong identity that helps enhance the fantasy of any class or spec in a game, a lot of times the fantasy or identity is the first factor that makes me interested in something in general

damianwroblewski8259: Luminary is all over the place. It doesn't have a clear direction. It's a tank, bruiser, alacrity DPS support, healer support, shroud DPS, auramancer. For me the most interesting direction is Light Auramancer. Quite an unique niche. No class and no elite spec so far has capitalized on Light Aura.

Devs should narrow down the scope and focus on two builds Auramancer (Light) DPS and Auramancer (Light) Support.

For that they should improve the synergy Light Aura has with new stances, Radiant Shroud skills, Luminary's traits and aspecs of Core Guardian.

Examples:

1. Remove Luminary's Blessing and make a trait that improves Light Aura instead. (-10% incoming strike damage; -10% incoming condition damage).

2. Rework Steadfast Recovery to rapidly regenerate heath while under the effect of Light Aura.

3. Rework Persistent Blessing to provide Light Aura whenever Guardian performs Leap, Blast or Whirl combo on a Light Field. That would enable more weapon synergies and work great with the Surging Light trait. Activating 'light combo finishers' would grant you more resistance to all kinds of damage and clear conditions on allies. Promote active gameplay.

4. Improve Shining Restoration. Light Aura lasts 50% longer (6 seconds). That's for players who want more passive approach and less intensive gameplay.

5. Rework Empowered Armaments. Radiant Shroud skills have increased crit chance if you are under the effect of Light Aura. Doesn't stack with Righteous Instincts. That should be an option to skip Radiance traitline and not double down on it.

6. Improve Shimmering Stances to extend Radiant Shroud Duration after using a Stance skills while shrouded (once per shroud).

7. Rework Radiant Shourd to actually be a shroud type skill. That's where Lumminary's Blessing comes back. When you are in Radiant Shroud you get this unique buff. It doesn't extent or get applied in any form after leaving the Radiant Shroud.

carltonpenuel7595: Very well done! I like your ideas, especially the Luminary barrier application idea.

Bogrin: So excited for Galeshot! Gonna go with the birdmancer theme with beastmaster and the avian pet buff trait for sure

moe3120: Im fairly new to GW2 and honestly im excited most for troubadour mainly cuz i play a bard in D&D

Isa_Reynard: I definitely will love Troubadour, im not much of a Guardian player but it doesnt feel they added much compared to the other two tbh

miguelmolano6611: I could listen to Kroof for hours and hours.

autumn.raider: overall, i am very pleased with what theyre giving us with these specs! im especially excited for galeshot since its fantasy is exactly what i wanted on ranger since the very beginning. typing all of it with winds and tengu is such an amazing idea too and fits ranger so well!

tjduck85: The Luminary is kinda "meh." It doesn't really have much of a clear identity as an e-spec. Guardian is basically the Dragonhunter, which we already have. The Luminary even gets the same minor trait that increases their Vitality. The floating lantern does nothing. The Luminary doesn't really have cool new UI like the other e-specs previewed. It has an extra button that basically lets you do spirit weapons, but you're kind of encouraged not to use them all since it increases the cooldown. Being de-incentivized to play with your new toys does NOT seem FUN. Overall, the Luminary feels HIGHLY UNDERCOOKED.

Crypticbutton: Thank you for doing this. The anet stream quality was abhorrent and made it unwatchable

bertoandon9681: I'm actually really surprised, I'm most excited for Galeshot it looks really fun and snappy and the movement utility looks good, ranger doesn't have nearly enough imo

chris-forest: I love your Luminary ideas. I had the same opinion the luminary from a game play perspective seemed to lack direction.

jaketandurella2227: I'm so excited for troubadour, and very excited to see what the other new specs are like !

unnamed2737: I prepped my ranger today, got all missing pets and all my hero points ready to go.

szunaloneheart3148: I am so satisfied with your recommendations and I 100% agree with your statement, that Arena Net should stop being so hesitant towards longer range for Boon applications and buffs. Especially when something is designed around being a support Elite-Spec I don't want to see that I am forced to literally stand inside my team to get things done.

Talaaya: Great that you are providing subtitles, thank you, but some feedback: having them burned into the video 3 words at a time makes it very difficult for me to watch, to the point that I have to remove the video from my screen and only listen. My brain really struggles to hear what's being said when words are popping up constantly like that. Regular subtitles are great because they pop less often which is way less distracting. And I can turn regular subtitles off if I'm struggling.

Cloudbreacker: The Galeshot is

MaTe-du2lw: luminary need be remade from the scratch, i really cant see how luminary add anything new playstyle wise

Powermaster111: Luminary:

"Shows Troubadour"

mateusznawrot8941: I had a convo with one of the devs and they won't give a class 900 boon radius just because they don't want you to wander around alone at range where you can't get any boons nor healing from your allies, and when getting downed you also put your allies in disadvantage, since now they have to leave the group and run rescue you. When it comes to instanced PvE, there always will be that importance of playing together, close to your teammates, simply because of how the boon and healing system works in the game. Unlike other tab-target games, in Gw2 majority of boons/healing happens in close proximity of the character, hence stacking together will always be the desirable way of dealing with difficult PvE encounters because it minimises a chance for failure.

apithatsombatsiri4414: Hey thanks for the vid!

LunarValkyria: Galeshot may actually convince me to make a ranger. lol

afghitman: Just reordered through your link!
