Living World Season 4 Is TRULY HEARTBREAKING In Guild Wars 2

MrDisphoric: As someone who played it during release, some additional context that made some of the parts hit harder:

1. There was space between the release of sections. So after Aurene's death there was a substantial gap before the next episode came out and we were just left to wonder. (It's also one of the few times the commander and crew truley LOSE and it is devastating).

2. At that pont in time Anet wasn't doing well and there was a real chance LWS4 was the end of the game. So that added to the looming dread that Kralk was representing in game.

Also pour one out for Blish

johnsellers5169: Taimi screaming still catches me in my throat

Tabbris1024: Lets not forget Aurene is fight against her grandfather too.

eleeyah4757: Joko isn't exactly a meme in the ocmmunity. He's the

jl-nz7gh: Lord Faren is the hero of the war against Joko.

ExRen: Yeah LWS4 was a roller coaster of emotion, I miss Blish

BayonneJoe35: I am a new player, and I am just starting this story arch today. I leveled through everything in order, and I cannot be happier. The story and the way the game opens up was very well done.

Shadowmii: "you're so much more enjoyable to be around when your life is a mess" is sadistic

shoulderpyro: how to explain Season 4 in 2 words:

Emotional Crit.

rewinim: I MISS BLISH

eleeyah4757: You'll benefit extra from having both masteries for the Skyscale anyway. They did it so that people would have an easy time of unlocking the Skyscale, but without punishing old players for having grinded it out previously.

MrVlad12340: You will enjoy Icebrood Saga. It was not very well received due to large content gaps but the plot is good, and Charr arc… lets say i find it personally one of the best in the game. Cause it really gives the same nice “backlash” as Joko does, on one hand starting with a large party essentially, and then exploring a question of how certain ideologies can disguise themselves as something benign before revealing their full horror.

And the Steel Warband alone is a great twist on usual storytelling tropes.

Leathra26: Oh wow, you actually gave Braham an honest shake. Most content creators have written him off by this point so he can do no right. Props, honestly. He's one of the most divisive characters in the community and few allow him nuance.

rutgerschutten5730: Getting the skyscale the LS4 way is a story on its own. People telling you not to do it just don´t enjoy the longer more grindy projects, or just pushed it too fast. It´s not for everyone but I personally found it a great story, though some guides are useful if you have a hard time finding some of the items based solely on their hints.

Atlas3060: I loved when Eir showed up not only because she could finally tell Broham to stop with the attitude but also because Snaff was there.

I read the books, so I only knew of Snaff due to that. I went through the old story dungeons, so I only knew of his death through those cutscenes.

It felt so neat seeing him pop through, even as a spirit, and fight alongside us.

As for Gorrik I'll admit that "Bu I saved him" line made me almost cry. Someone please hug the poor big eared boy. He's really coming into his own later on though.

Dragonflight, the song that plays during Dragonfall's big meta and the visions Aurene have is always on my playlist.

Blish's Sorrow is also there too along with the old GW1 Crystal Oasis. All for different reasons, but all emotional for me.

Tsaigos: Awww no roller beetle love? Oh, and Just a small correction for dragonfall map. It's basically ripped apart portions of the mist, and the three areas represent three different God realms Balthazar, Melandru, and Grenth

michaelwilliamryan: Aurene's death was one of those very rare moments in games. And imagine the impact on the players who played LWS4 at release, and how long they had to wait. Oof.

And you'll be happy to know that you're not done with Gorrick.

And it looks like you enjoyed LWS4 as much as I thought you would.

McKillaboy: Glad you finally got to experience God tier GW2 content! <3

RobinDuehring: Playing this during release was rough - first time a video game made me ugly cry. My friends from GW1 and I did all the story chapters together as a group our first play thru. We were all crying in discord. There was a long gap between chapters so it stung for a good long while.

butterflysrage: If you think it was rough seeing Aurine like that, imagine what it was like when it first came out and you had to wait weeks for the next chapter!

Dawn.Marigold: To think that we back then had to wait to know what had really happened to Aurene for 2 to 3 months between the death and revival. It was such a good moment

neverendlessgaming: Hey thanks! I was doing exactly this morning LWS4...and wondering if it was only me to be so emotional...and you confirmed me! Thanks a lot for the video...

boxonothing4087: I still think Icebrood/Champions has the 2 most impactful character moments ever

Wolfntee: This is the video I've been waiting for since you said the HoT story hooked you.

williamgeorge2580: Praise Joko!

n-Chantreuse: I was not worried for ------, because I was paying attention.

But man did that really suck the wind out of the sails.

Rhumolein: I cry everytime I´m playing the story with a new character. Though I already know the outcome of all stories.. I cry
