gottschilawl: the way they balance is infuriating.. they can balance for different factors, but apparently they refuse to do it consistently and we get shit like the warrior staff block removal and moa signet nerfed for every mesmer....

What's wild about these chrono nerfs is they're not going to change the real, core reason chrono is played so much in PvE now, it's just going to make chrono more annoying to play. Sure feels like a "please play bard."
ArktheLark: This overall feels like the balance team itself needs to get changed up a bit or reevaluate what the devs want from the game as a whole, and less about trying to balance out some classes that are over-performing/under-performing. The philosophy of game balance the team currently uses has felt flawed and biased for years at this point, and I wonder if it will just drive players away at a certain point. Played Heal-Troubadour for the first time in strikes the other day and it feels overtuned in a really fun way, but chrono feels like it struggles to do the same without a lot of effort and good timing. These nerfs will make chrono a much less played spec again outside of the people already at the high skill ceiling. I really enjoy power catalyst and their rotation is rough to play well, but takes a lot of time to get good with, this feels like another barrier to new players that they're trying to get frontloaded into the game.

mismismism: It's like they're trying to kill any enjoyment. The Chrono nerf is a lot, I could see it if they at least fixed Mirage, undid the collateral damage they did to it with dune cloak and shatter nerfs and fixed Troubadour bugs and made it feel usable outside of just the support build. They again, are nerfing all specs instead of the problem build, they don't know WTF they're doing.
Evoker, they did the same thing they did last time with Mesmer, they wildly swing the nerf hammer around taking out everything fun that wasn't broken in the name of nerfing fire when they could have specifically nerfed that builds damage instead of taking a shotgun to the only fun mechanics in the spec that made it different from Catalyst.
And Warrior staff... WTF, the balance team needs people fired at this point, it's beyond ridiculous how they try to balance things.

Edit: Actually no, f it, I hope they dont go through with these changes. Replacing PoP with Equal and opposite reactions is so, boring.
adonutplaysgames: Guardian main here, predominantly PvE but I do dabble in WvW and sPvP too. None of those changes were needed and getting an on-demand stun break w'o needing to trait for it is straight up busted. Having that utility locked to traiting or the utility skill bar was a fair balancer. Big oof from ArenaNet but y'know what? I'll take it and continue to bask in the glow of being ArenaNet's favourite class
