Iotan-m9m: Warrior main here that spent WAY too long in the golem room. For factchecking, Chant of Action (F4) no longer provides group stab. Pretty sure they stealth nerfed it when they allowed F4 to self stun-break as IIRC it was present on launch. Paragon also has access to projectile hate through Signet of Rage Relic of Sorrow/Wizard's Tower. It's jank but none of the relics are important for standard aHeal Para anyway.
Also, Paragon gives warrior so much redundancy in boon coverage that you can...
- Provide Protection without using Staff 3 or Martial cadence. Only "Brace Yourself!" Soldier's Comfort are needed.
- Drop warhorn as Relic of Febe Chant of Recuperation (F3) can cover for it's boons.
This means that Paragon can meet the minimum requirements of an aHeal without Discipline and with the only requirements on the weapons being adrenaline generation which enables fun build choices such as :
- Staff/Staff: You exclusively use weapon swap for trait triggers and never have downtime in the healing
- Replacing either weapon set with Mace Shield for big CC (650 with Paralyzation sigil).
- Celestial Paragon: Go Sword/Sword and replace Discipline with Arms for Dual Wielding. This allows for a hybrid heal build with some very tight uptimes and that deals up to 17k dps depending on how much you're willing to skimp on healing & vigor uptime. Or just abuse Paragon's raw output and run a standard aHeal build with celly gear and a sword instead of a mace. That'll bump your dps up from 1.5k to 8-9k.
glowdonk: [CAVE MAN SCREAM SOUND]
captaincrapface7337: Only projectile blocks in warrior's entire arsenal, are Spellbreaker's Golden Nope, and Bladesworn's Electric Frence, which mainly serve as a reminder to you that you should be playing Spellbreaker.
SoulCasta: Paragon not using a spear... just feels wrong... but I know that is just me
meraketh-yt: I would also recommend 'Shake it off' shout for one of the flex slots. It's an aoe stunbreak and condi cleanse with 2 charges and short cooldown. It doesn't provide other boons, like aegis, but much more available than the new command stunbreak.
meraketh-yt: Just to give context to how easy is this build. I never played heal support in GW2 before. This was the very first build I tried. I don't have all legendary or ascended gear, but gathered enough concentration to have a 85-90-ish % boon duration. I practiced for like 10 minutes in the test hall, did 1 rat king event with my build (slightly different from the one in the video) and then went into Strikes with some randoms from lfg. We did ~5 strikes including Boneskinner. I made a lot of mistakes, but managed to keep up alacrity (when I finally set the right trait, oops). Even with my mistakes we did all of them on the first try. Granted my teammates were very good, but still this was my very first time playing healer support ever.
This just shows how easy it is to pick this build up.
dallassukerkin6878: I found all the voice lines were very useful for keeping track of what you have running. But I can well imagine that in l33t circles people don’t need it.
nebulastar9050: My favorite shouts are still the Reaper's; "You are all Weaklings!" "Suffer!"
Vennyhedgie: Muk there's already an option to disable player chatter. You'll still hear important dialogue and voiced cutscenes, but it disables all that combat lines that can get repetitive.
Fun fact: ritualist, evoker and luminary are currently bugged and their chatter is tied to Disable player ITEM chatter.
Apoxiosis: if nobody noticed, video length is 1337
gamer video
thaxycab: Also, the trait for shouts giving heals, that gives you healing based on your power. You can have 500 healing power in the full snowcrows dps gear with one traitline change (it loses 10-15% damage on the dummy for me). Great boon/heal support for overland or easy fractals.
Ezoroth-fb7gd: Small note about your utilities, Find their Weaknesses isn't needed to maintain 25 might. Empower Allies is perma 10 stacks, Staff 2 perma 10 stacks (as long as you use it once everytime you're on your staff), using Chant of Action like you do is also perma 10 stacks, and finally the multiple procs of Soldier's Focus from your rota is 10 might perma.
So if we just look at the boons once everything is going on, Find Their Weaknesses is just here for your Opener (without it you can reach 21 stacks of might in less than 4s, and the 4 remaining stacks come just few seconds later), it's a source of vuln (which isn't an issue nowadays in meta/group content) and it gives Adrenaline (but there are better alternatives).
If you need adrenaline (for opening mostly), you can use To The Limit, but since you decided to your Paragon healing skill, you can just bring Braces Yourselves (the prot is not needed but the barrier is nice) which gives more adrenaline than Find their Weaknesses.
Last point, since you're using multiple command skills, you should try to play with Reverberation traitline, since it doubles the echo. A good point of this trait is, when paired with On Your Knees util, you get a CC that is basically "delayed" AOE Moa Signet (around yourself) with 15s CD, which is kinda insane.
melonTime05: Great Video muk!, i just want to mention a few things i feel were missing after paragod'ing my way the past few weeks:
* the 99% - 100% content statement is a little brittle, considering Paragon has 0% availability to any ranged output of anything (heal, boons, cc).
* Paragon is currently broken, hopefully fixed by the next patch. just make sure to remember that your F4 is currently only self-applying stability, not 5man.
* Paragon has, as mentioned before no availability to projectile reflect, but there is a workaround using Relic of the Wizard's Tower (applies to all classes without, by the way!)
no blink/portal, less multi-hit stab (i.e more than one stack) and worse burst cc (it has good cc, but it has a rampup time which is nieche at best for certain content) are a few things that come to mind if we compare it to superior specs (its always chrono...).
overall, great video and an interesting approach. Happy paragod'ing to everyone who wants to give it a try now :)
Artistic_Storm: The asura voice lines for this are definitely a little more, idk tad odd with the speed of the delivery. At least comparing it to my Sylvari paragon.
Still enjoy the new energy and enthusiasm alot of the new skill lines have vs some old skill voice lines that sound a little lacking Sylvari "On my mark" comes to mind.
gabrielpelegrini6135: they solved the problem we had with "shake it off" and "for great justice" shouts by introducing more repetitive shouts. Great.
soulsfood5691: As a warrior main I would like to say,
Hello chip <3
100plusRG: Calming Tongue
JuliETrevA: Muk hates Guardian so much he's leaving Luminary for last lol
Wolfdoggie: Paragon without a spear is so weird, they should've just did staff monk. theres a toggle option to turn off player chatter that should work for voice spam.
thaxycab: Projectile block (and reflect): mostly right, staff5 is 2 seconds of block, so like if you wanted to block one line of stars on dagda.
Defense traitline (you can swap out discipline, rotation changes, but it works fine) has a trait that causes all of your blocks to be projectile reflects, so shield5 is a 3 second reflect, staff5 is a 2 second reflect.
kristieleeann8151: When visions of eternity first came out I spent most of the first couple of days or first few days playing Paragon in PvP it was fun but I eventually was like well I guess I better do the actual content now. So I ended up starting the storyline and go into those new maps pretty much a few days after everyone else did because I spent the first few days playing Paragon in PVP. I decided to pick up my Dusty old thief off the shelf and try antiquary through the storyline and on the new maps and basically just to play visions of eternity with and I'm using other people's builds for group content and even open world PVE content but I made my own build for PVP which I'm totally loving and shocking people with
