Shopping CartRsjabber_: I never understood that argument "don't like it, don't play it". No, I want the game I like to be good and that's why I care and share my concerns. Keep up the good work man.
rulotron: You don't need to clarify. I understand your criticism is meant to be constructive; anyone who doesn't see that is wrong and blinded by fanaticism. Some people can't take honest comments.
GT-legendary: i trust content creators who aren't afraid to criticize the games they love than the ones that endlessly glaze it
hollowzangetsu: Some people are just plane morrons , you're the best gw2 content creator right now and you don't need to clarify to anyone .Keep doing the good work
sylvarixreaper: U don't need to apologize or clarify anything to anyone , criticizing a game doesn't mean u hate it or wishing harm to it , if we didn't love this game we wouldn't have played it this far
SQLdb: That was the same reaction I received when I tried to share my very few negatives of GW2.
Instantly got attacked by the white knights.
Acolyte7: Without reflection, we will never move ever again
Naviblood1988: Some things MUST be said and sometimes true passion for the things you love IS to criticize. People overreact too often to valid concerns. Keep it up Syrma.
Crashh965: Just feel like adding this before I finish the video. Do I agree with every criticism you make? No not always. But to me it's very clear you care about making GW2 as good as possible and are offering some kind of option. Thanks for your videos because sometimes you give me insight and things to think about I might never thought to question.
HeartOfTheParty: Please continue to critique the game where it's required. The more constructive criticism is discussed in the community, better the game will be for everyone, which is good for players. And therefore people would play the game more, which is also good for developers. So everyone wins.
Cirueludo: Hey Syrma! I started to play GW2 this year, found your channel shortly after and i've been watching your content regularly, i don't usually comment on Youtube videos but i thought this was a good time for doing it. I 100% agree with what you say here. If you want something to improve you have to speak about the things that should be better, and people defending the game blindly don't realize they're hurting the game that they supossedly love by doing so. I think you always explain your points well and you come of as someone who genuinely cares about the game, i mean nobody plays a game for as many hours as you if you don't really love it. So yeah, long story short i think you're doing great pointing out the things that can improve and of course you also praise the game when you should. Keep doing what you do man, wish the best to you and your channel :)
GetThePizza: People who love a game critique it because they want it to be the best version of itself, people who don't give a shit about a game don't even talk about it.
I don't understand how this is a hard concept to grasp for redditors
Alaus: Gw2 has the most toxic possitive circle jerk community of any game ive ever played. Ive been playing the game on and off for years. The game is very good in some aspects and rly bad at others. Very polorized.
I remember an instance when i first started playing gw2 seriously (thats how badshitcrazy it was that i still remember it) i was playing wvw and was playing with some ppl and was chatting to this person. It was a nice casual chat. I mentioned i was new to the game and it sparked a convo about what i like and dislike about it. Like combat is great ecs ecs. And god damn when it turned to what i dislike i mentioned things like inventory chaos, skill queue and visual cluster on the ground. The convo turned from nice to wtf in a second. :D the person started throwing hate and insults like crazy. I stopped responding and it spammed me for hours with filth and i kid u not when i was offline they sent me mails with absolute looney shit and kept sending me mails for like a week. I mean it was a good laugh but ive never seen someone so far gone in a video game :D and thats just the most extreme one. Ive seen loonacy in gw2 not comparable with any mmo many many times.. and have you guys ever noticed how gw2 community always pinpoints how nice they are like its a selling point of the game? U can see that in chat like 10 times a day. And trust me If someone has to tell you how nice and good of a person they are dont make eye contact and just walk the opposite way. :D
And yes theres good and normal ppl in the game ofcrs but what i mean it has a very very high % of crazy ppl and its always hidden with this nasty fake positivity mask.
LuxKlonoa: GW2 seems like a cult now xD
hayden6383: Great video mate, most normal people don't need this video. But the others... (Toxic positivity community). The kind that can't handle criticism or anything that isn't praising is essentially what ruined FFXIV and any other games they grow a large community in and that's just one example of a game ruined by it both financially and community wise.
gavelkynde4837: thanks Syrma - always liked your carefully considered guides and stuff and criticisms/suggestions for the game - it's all interesting
nd6886: Arenanet never took criticism well. Why do you think people get immediately banned for posts like "WvW Restructuring is a bad idea" on the official forums?
arnouxgaming3720: There is no need to apologize to stupid people who are incapable of differentiating helpful criticism from negativity. I've seen this same scenario happen in just about every game community I've ever been a part of. It really is tiresome
adamii323: Actually, while I really appreciate your guides, your honest assessment videos are the most impactful towards game improvement. I've never been a fan of shilling or go along to get along when it comes to products I PAY for.....lol. That kind of thinking actually enables bad developer behavior and habits (just ask them). The best companies want honest feedback to improve customer service, and I commend you for providing it! Lastly, you go out of your way to stress that it's YOUR opinion....feel free to continue sharing it.....agree or disagree I will respect you for it.
vc5555: i think what a lot of people that white knight for a game dont realize is that these type of videos are more often than not the reason devs actually change something if those videos gain enough traction unless the devs are completely oblivious and wanna press a certain playstyle or change onto the community, if they actually care aswell and think in that way those videos and coming discussions from it are a godsend
iridradiant: People who are attacking you for "dooming" really don't give you the time of day beyond reading the titles on like a third of your videos. The other two thirds are build and tier list videos. If they have a point (and this is stretching the benefit of the doubt to the max here) it is that you don't have any positive titles to mix in the analysis videos where you make suggestions. Your content generally is balanced and insightful. Because they don't seem to care to actually watch your videos and comprehend their contents, so I wouldn't give them too much brainspace.
Kowalski-kyou: Great video to clarify your views and takes, but after this, don't be bothered by any negative comments, those come from kids usually. Unable to understand the concept of meaningful discussions. You can always redirect them to this video tho from now on. :D Not that they will care, unfortunately.
VishnuPrimeX: I really don't understand this mentality. While existng on the Internet, you can do one of two things - you can either say only popular things, or express your own opinions. You rightfully chose the latter. Why do you apologize about it? People, who didn't get in first place, won't get it still and the others don't need an apology. These types of videos ultimately achieve nothing.
darthtrader7605: Just uninstalled the game after 1000 hours. I realized it's just another form of brain rot. There's zero synergy in the character and it's professionl. Like I am a necro. I play my personal story. And I just happen to be a necro? it makes zero sense and has zero attachment to the overall plot. Everyone can do everything and use every weapon, except the long bow, which isn't unique or mechanically ubiquitous in any way. The PvE content is just repetitive, super tuned, and grindy. the PvP/WvW content is super fast, technically and mathematically rigorous. It's simply not fun. Oh well lol. AoC PvP is amazing, realistic, responsive. Maybe this is just how all mmos get after a certain age limit.
BenjiMeisterDK: i love that some people will eat shit, and get angry when someone sane calls out, its shit
