Kaizen2026: The cat's out of the bag it seems! Yeah Eternal Ice Shards used to be pretty much useless (not completely, but were once 'unwanted' and 'undesirable'), but now I can't farm it enough for the Tyrian Defense Seals. It's great for getting mats. I usually go for the Tengu supply boxes, at 25 seals each. I keep my alts at some of the main chests in Bjora Marches and I get over 90-100 Seals a day / 3-4 supply boxes a day.

BranTarik: You can easily resolve the lag in the game by opening your inventory and clicking on the “Coins” icon in the lower left corner. In the expanded view, click on “Spirit Shards,” which will open the map, and then immediately press ESC. The lag should then be resolved. I observed this technique once with Phandrel.

75shakedown: Let's all ignore and not mention the karma cost and how long it took you to get that much in bank, dude has 42mil to throw around, thats not a quick weekend farm. I have done this method of gold farming before and while i have umpteen eternal shards and eitrite ingots, karma has dried up fast. Just parking at Bjora and daily farming chests wont get these results, karma will be gone fast

One thing that was not clear to me: Do you open the Skritt boxes and sell the contents? Or do you sell the Skritt boxes unopened?

MyOrangeString: Another hack to make your client lag: port into Crystal Oasis! Much easier than this Tyrian Defense Seal method.

jase90009: If you already have obsidian armour and don't want anything else, you can convert blue and green essence into defense seals too. Blue essence is only 35 essence for 10 seals. I think you can make more using them to craft motivations, but that's a bit riskier.

Madd_Jack: Anet could fix the lag issue if they add a counter to the items you get instead of adding a new graphic/element to the game every time you get something new. Like adding "x400 candy corn" instead of making your game load in 400 elements, one per each candy corn you get.

Keck282: I nearly froze the game auto crafting and salvaging potions for research notes. Granted it was the ones that give you 10 potions per craft. I stopped so it wouldn't crash.

desel8737: i slow down the client every time i make research notes for the gift of research, it's nothing special:) it takes 20ish minutes for the 2500 notes to run through, and the client is very laggy/ frozen the first few minutes.

nexeus7302: ppl here are acting like you need to have no life in order to get those shards which is not true at all. Just do you daily chests in Borja Drakkar and in 10 days time you will have like 10k. Shards are piling up really fast, not sure why you blame this guy. Sure, he does play a lot, but those shards are easy to get. And If you do the keep's meta it will pile up even faster.

Kaizen2026: Any suggestions on how to profit from Volatile Magic? I have 526k of it. I know the counterpart to it, Unbound Magic, is quite useful in exchanging 1,250 Unbound Magic 40 Silver coin at the NPC in Ember Bay for 1 Magic-Warped Bundle, but there doesn't seem to be a good equivalent for Volatile Magic. Most exchanges cost 1g the currency, which, by the time you list whatever you get from the bundles, and take into account the tp list fees, you either barely make a profit, you barely break even, or worse, you actually make a loss. That's why I like that Unbound Magic one for 40 silver unbound magic, because it usually ends up being quite profitable, but sadly I have a lot more volatile magic, than unbound magic.
