Niche but another daily income source for both Homestead and Home Instance. Has to be done over 3 days then the treasure hunt looking for orphans' ornaments can be done any time.

reson8: You forgot to mention the easiest way to farm snowflakes- the festive gathering tools which you but with karma. They give a snowflake as well as the other material with every gathering strike. You can't use glyphs in them though. A full set of gathering tools will get you a stack of snowflakes. Just do the mithril/elder wood run in Malchors' leap, your guild nodes, homestead nodes wvw camp nodes, etc.
