rwxstudio7173: Assassin and Ritualist are from Factions while Paragon and Dervish are from Nightfall. You will need to start a game from one of those campaings if you want to main those profession.

mishking9547: favorite combos have always been assassin/ranger and paragon/monk, if they allow us to do this in Prophecies id be so happy, if not then pure ranger is fine

VisualGamerMember: The biggest consideration would be what kind of end game content you would like to participate in - Sin can be used as a shadow form tank in majority of dungeons/speed clears or a source of dps w dagger spam. Dervish is great for running across campaigns and spiking big balls grouped up by tanks

LunarValkyria: I like how signet of illusions on mesmer is basically the mesmer tricking themselves into being the ultimate caster. xD

It basically makes the next few spells you cast scale with your illusion stat so you could go Me/Elementalist and cast all four elements with ease and not even investing any stats in those elements, or go monk secondary if you want to be support, etc. (spells that have chance of failure can still fail though for not meeting their requirements but those are so few)

If you have a teammate with heroic refrain i think it was called (paragon anniversary skill), you can get your illusion stat to 20 which means all spells will be scaling off a 20 stat.

My favorite casters are Ritualist and Mesmer. My favorite physical is Warrior and Paragon.

Rhuowave: I love monk’s aesthetic and monks are usually my favorite class in games but the ranged caster/healer playstyle doesn’t work for me. I’ve heard you can make a melee monk work with stuff like assassin mixed in but that’s a lot of effort when I could just play warrior and hit dudes with a hammer. So probably just warrior for me.
