it was a LOT more dynamic and player driven,with many choices we actually made as a community,at times even going vs other players for it as we picked sides

the season 1 that we currently have is essentially a far more scripted,"last time on living season" recap style story as it's impossible to essentially remake the original experience

season 2 is handled FAR better,and it's all uphill from there(up till last parts of icebrood saga,then it's back up)

Tindra-111: If you check your key binds option there is one that say set personal target which is a target icon only visible for you regardless if you are in a party or squad. This is different from the call target which everybody can see in a party. The personal target is awesome to use in WvW and PvP but also in PvE in situations like the world bosses and the like where there can be several com tags up and you want to have more visibility on the one you follows. Add your key bind choice to the personal target and you now have the option to make more visibility to personal options you want to see better.

kivot6342: You'll love the world bosses in the expansion zones. Just a heads up, for Heart of Thorns, the mob difficulty spikes quite a bit so I'd recommend looking into some open world solo builds.

steeltoffees: I got through a lot of the story up through all of Ice Brood Saga so far, it definitely gets a lot better, even withing LW1. To me they have a formula that's pretty much every season/xpac storyline starts of pretty slow but ramps up to where you feel like a powerful/important part of the storyline and climaxes pretty good.

Hatenashi_Raza: also yes you can increase the bank materials storage capacity with gems(do remember you can turn gold to gems for a more free-to-play experience)

ezekielx1199: Season 1 is probably a bit bugged because it was not meant to be replayable: initially, it cames out as one time live event, playable on a windows of 15 days per episode (that were "living world came from" > they initialy want to make some "1 time seasonned story content" > players complained about that a lot, so they fixed it for season 2 ; it was also not very interesting, economicaly speaking, for a game without subscription, to create so many 1 time content ; most of - if not all - the festivals came from season 1).

Season 1 was not replayable until 2022... Some filler episodes were skipped (or only playable through the season 5 Scrying Pool). They had to dig up files from GW2 spaghetti's code, probably without the original coders. :/

Without spoiling too much, pay a closer attention to Lion's Arch when you are in season 1's instances.

SeeHang: world bosses in gw2 are mostly easy. they used to be painful when they were released. but they got a lot easier over the years because players have maximized ways to beat the bosses. the recent world bosses in the expacs are pretty challenging. once general apple gets to the end game of those expacs he'll see how challenging some of these metas and world bosses are.

cameirusisu1024: I love TT. its what I think GW2 needs more of. A lot of discussion tends to point towards players needing stuff dumbed down... I disagree, give players a challenge, give them fun, and reward them for it, and the community will rise to the challenge. 13years on the community still comes together to get consistent kills on a boss like this? yes, we can handle complexity.
