Guild Wars 2 World Bosses Are Insane

Mictla155: Triple Trouble requires a good deal of coordination.

destroyallpermanent: You have to watch the Soo Won boss fight, from EoD expansion, when it was first released. GW2 community went crazy. It was chaos..

arkanaloth2617: all boss fights in GW2 are relevant, regardless of how old they are.

misterhorse8327: If you're thinking of returning to GW2, approach it like a single-player game like Skyrim, but with other people. It's how I fell in love with this game because it's an "actual game" rather than a "gear treadmill job".

RazerTNT: most world bosses are from the core game tho, it is wild that in 2mo u missed all of them. Probably the best one from core tyria for me is triple trouble cause it needs coordination from 3 squads scattered around the map (u need to kill 3 bosses with different mechanics roughly at the same time)

Caporai: Claw of Jormag will always be memorable to me, and dat music man (GW2 OST - 62 . Raven Speaks).

During Core Era, and before we could even cheese it, We had to escort some asura golems carrying their bomb to stun the boss, and once they manage to do that, That glorify moment every player ran down the hill to that boss and end it fast before it could recover.

Oh, Watch the ledges.

arhonvalran1551: Answering your question: This days mostly people assume that everyone know what to do but if you ask on chat there often will find someone who will explain what is going on.

retroghost1812: Try Mordremoth or Soo Won meta ^^

jrovel07: I agree. The Soo Won map meta world boss from End of Dragons is still an insane fight. Because it's a map meta, there are new people still doing it. If everyone does their job and does the mechanics, it can be beat, but get a few people who dont do what's supposed to be done and Soo Won wins. IF you Have end of dragons and do that fight, join a commander's group. A good commander will help you beat it. If you can find a video on it, THAT would be something to react to as it's an open world boss but not as easy as the ones who've been around for over a decade. You want to be blown away? Watch a video guide on how to beat Soo Won. It's an open world raid.

kwith: There are many large-scale meta events in the game. If you go to the Event Timers in the GW2Wiki you will see the schedule for many of them. They range from shadow monsters, to giant worms, dragons, even stopping a city-wide power outage or a gang-war ending against a pile of garbage. It covers the whole spectrum.

nielsjensen4185: Triple Trouble has to be killed roughly at the same time.

boxonothing4087: Of course Blizzard doesn't fix stuff, people keep playing no matter how broken the game is.

As for GW2, large scale metas are the real meat.

They're about as close to landscape raids as it ever gets, especially the map wide ones

lunerlilly: Yeah we used to have casual conversations at shadow behemoth while defeating it, and then they buffed him. And yes the dragon champions still hurt. Claw of jormag still hurts on the phase when it's on the cliff.

redbeard5598: Fire elemental is actually fun.

williamgeorge2580: Icebrood Saga had the promise of being the best story the game told. Them chucking it aside like that makes me sad to this day.

CaptainAdmiralMango: While the bosses showcased on this video is cool, with the exception of two bosses, only showcased core game bosses. Some of the greatest world bosses are in the evpansions, like Soo Won and Mordremoth just to name two.

Either way, World Bosses in GW2 are done exceptionally well and they are usually always fun to do.

Back in the day it was the Shadow Behemoth world boss in the human starter zone that really sparked my love for this game, seeing this huge ass boss and an army of players there to defeat him. Truly makes the game world feel alive and lived in, which sad to say is not a common feeling I get in MMOs

McKillaboy: In my opinion, there are a lot more amazing world bosses. But I'm guessing he's looking at it from the nostalgia angle.

traveling.down.the.road56: You played GW2 for 2 months and you think that you’ve done so much on your warrior character, when in truth, you’ve barely scratched the surface of what is available in this game. You have probably done less than 5% of the games content. But the good news is that you have so much more to look forward to, if you decide to go back into the game.

fieragames: It depends on the world boss, some of them like Shadow behemoth in queensdale , rarely explanations are given as you just show up and kill things and win. Since enough power creep/players know the mechanics that its not going to matter if you don't. Others like triple trouble that was mentioned do require a bit more coordination but if you join a commanders squad by clicking the icon on the map, most of them will either have the explanation typed out in the squad msg or put it in chat at some point.

florafirefang: i love world bosses and bounties. bounties are pof

WSPBane: Love your vibe and reaction to the different bosses and how they compare to WoW and other games in a positive light. Without a doubt one of my favorite activities when I am playing Gw2 is doing the World Bosses even if they arent all that challenging its still fun to do with all the players around and just stumbling onto them at times is a real treat when you are returning or new players.

TheSavageMidnight: There is no boss that people got over. All of them are popular and fought daily

erini1359: World bosses are actually for players new to the game. They're there to help them optimize their character builds and get used to the boss mechanics. In reality, there are much more difficult bosses in the game. Open-world bosses are more for players looking for easy kills rather than challenging content. Some bosses may take 20-30 attempts to kill, even if it's not enough. You'll have a particularly difficult time in CM Fractal, Strike, and raids. It's almost certain that players who participate in training raids will fail.

Apart from these bosses, there are metas. Each meta also has a special boss.Bosses in metas are a little harder than world bosses. Some of the bosses shown in these videos are from the meta. You can enter the game right now and join a boss fight or a meta. You will see that dozens of players will die. Although players usually win, this is not always guaranteed. As far as I remember, we have failed about 20 bosses.

thegrim418: That's the unfortunate downside of these huge world bosses. The game's been out for more than a decade now. So no matter how cool these old core game bosses are, they get swept quickly and easily when they spawn since the players have far surpassed them. Now they do stil make new world bosses in metas for the expansions so there's plenty of challenging world bosses left in the game too.
