JohnSorlie: Youre experience is pretty much how I see this game aswell, as a casual gamer I owned this game for 11 Years, played it on and off. Tried other MMO`s, but I always come back to GW2, its my home and happy place when I want to relax and have a good time. The world is massive and if you buy all the expacks today you have houndred of hours of content to dive into. GW2 is so different from other MMO`s, and this days having a surge of new players joining inn, its greate. The GW2 community welcome new players and are probably the most helpful community out there. Shrek_The_Mathematician: Coming from WoW and ESO, I think you should definitely try the raids and strikes ! As always they got the unique "Guild wars 2" twist to them, and the barrier to entry isnt as high as in other MMOs. You pretty much only need a build that does reasonable damage and regular exotic gear, and you're good to go in a few minutes after hitting level 80 !

Shrek_The_Mathematician: in gw2 people think of dungeons and fractals as 2 entirely separate things. When they say no one does dungeons anymore, they dont mean the fractals ! Fractals are probably one of the most played content in the game, especially with the new quick join system.

Players rarely do regular dungeons anymore because the devs nerfed the rewards a lot many years ago to instead promote fractals as the new dungeon system. In my opinion they should either unnerf it or split the dungeons into many new fractals so the content isnt "wasted".
