greysins190: Wow has an aggresive content cycle, they pump out new stuff like no other mmo right now and I hate it. I cant keep up with the game anymore because its too much so ive been slowly transitioning out
Til_What: GW2 was my first MMO since it's affordable for a kid, without the monthly sub.
I've played since release semi-consistently and while it has a lot of flaws when you dive deeper, it's always been fun to just boot up and do whatever I feel like that day. PvP, WvW, Meta Events, World Bosses, Fractals, Raids, Mini-Games, Legendary Farm, Seasonal Events, the list goes on. There's always something to do, plus the mount system outclassed any other by an insane amount. It's pretty much the perfect side-game to keep coming back to. Years could go by and you could just jump in and go straight to the newest content again. The game also has the most and best QoL features. Dealing with FFXIV and WoW inventory management makes me miss the convenience of GW2 instantly. Ah, Guild Wars 2, my beloved.
Choristoceras: First, GW2 doesn't run smooth. In fact the client itself is badly coded and getting a good performance out of it is impossible safe for a peak rig.
Second, the main problem of GW2 (which I ran into after about 500h is there is nothing to do at end-game). I understand the devs' original intent about the lack of gear treadmill initially, but keeping that logic running for over 10 years is weird.
Third, it is currently ran by a skeleton crew because Anet is working on something else (hopefully GW3).
Now, people will say "but you can leave the game when you want because there is no sub fee". Yes, that's true. You can leave the game when you want. That's what I did and I don't feel any desire to come back atm because there is nothing to do besides farm gold - which you can get by swiping.
Dor_Z: I remember buying the disc for this game as a teen was a good time
SpaceElvisInc: I just couldn't get into Guild Wars 2, well I was in it for a bit got to max level the end of the story was kind of a wet fart, and everything after that was like mid, nobody did dungeons, no raids, WvWvW was cool but I could only do that for so long, granted this was like when it came out and maybe for a year after, any of that change?
NatiiixLP: You wanna talk about shit Netcode? Unc, just look at XIV that's unplayable at 50 ms, while GW2 can be played with 300 ms reasonably well. WoW netcode is also perfectly fine, though. I did thousands of hours of M with 250 ms.
