At some point the buff/nerf merry go round/carousel became so obviously designed to generate interest, drive deeper involvement in your character/s, trap you on the equipment acquisition treadmill that you wonder why they even bothered with the storyline. Sooner or later it becomes merely a slight of hand 'magic trick' to introduce even more 'super weapons'/super gear whose purpose is to make SURE you stay on that 'treadmill', grinding away, hour after hour, day after day, month after month, even year after year...for what- PIXELS? Check your 'hours played' sometime, multiply that number by even MINIMUM WAGE rates....THAT's what this 'game' has cost you...Then think what you 'coulda/woulda/shoulda' done with those hours and minutes and the irl money that could've been. Now I know that everyone, sooner or later, has a hobby and that GW2 is not a bad one, but for those who essentially have been 'seduced' into choosing to live 'in the Game'...well....

The realization of just how much "I" was the one being 'played', not just my character/s, caused me to quit the game. I'm only here now, cause early on, when I believed that "I" could "really play" with the 'elites'; I had the misfortune of running across this quiet spoken, almost unnoticeable nobody, concealed in the shadows-who that in an instant, beat my ass into the ground before I could even get off a retaliatory strike LOL. That was the beginning, when I, and almost everyone else who'd met him in game, started referring to him as "THE". "Lord Hizen" wink*.
