Shopping Cartsylvarixreaper: never cringed this hard in my life xD never do that 15 seconds again
krastickk: Intro was too accurate GW2 scene is sooo bland it feels like you're scrolling ads. Videos like yours where you actually talk about the game's problems without a mountain of sugar coating are a breath of fresh air.
AzureRoxe: I'll never understand the fanboy obsession with glazing what they like and thinking every criticism is somehow a deeply personal attack.
How in the world do people think games can improve if not by telling the devs what they're doing wrong?
Naviblood: 0:21 I'll never be able to unhear this lmao. In other news, thank you for your service!
jameslowien3104: Respectful and structured criticism is great and it’s unfortunate when large parts of a community take it as a personal attack. However, two things can be true at once and you’d probably grow more by having your whole brand or “thing” be a little less downtrodden. If the goal isn’t to grow beyond your own echo chamber (ironically) of more cynical players then yeah man do whatever you want maybe it isn’t that deep for you. It just might end up being more constructive for your goal of helping the community/devs with feedback if you could reach more of them. Totally get the frustration though between feedback misinterpreted as personal attacks and the stagnated state of content.
Pyrographer0105: Don't do that again... That was creepy af...
I've heard my entire life, "communication is the core of a relationship." Once a couple stops talking and sharing what is bothering them, the relationship shrivels up and someone eventually walks.
I love your listing out the things that need improved. Mainly because I know you're not a shill and I can trust your perspective as a veteran and someone that clearly loves the game enough to want to see it go another 10 years. All your vids feel like a plea to the devs to fix these things so the game will never die.
And right now is the time to make the community unity in the biggest issues because the door is open to get fixes. Your sailor reference was so true lol.
I can't wait for VoE finale!! I am so hyped. Im a little scared to get my hopes up but I think this one will be good. The last couple expansions I like the starts but finishing the last segments felt like a chore. (Bears that take for ever to say something, and floating blue man that never stops talking)... But VoE has had my interest the entire way through. It just feels more impactful, like PoF, HoT, and EoD, where you actually feel like a struggling hero, vs Brad Pitt in Megamind. I just wanna retire and work on my home and singing career. Im tired of saving the world....in VoE we may see the world change or be forced to side with a "villain".
Thanks for making me laugh. The first few minutes were a little rough getting through but your point was well made lol.
Cheers :)
VENENUMVEIL: Why are you calling me out haha
minakatahizuru: I go play Stellar Blade thanks for showing it.
SunloungerZ: Misery loves company. Its not about glazing. If someone in my life did nothing but complain, I would remove them from my life. We get it, you are the edgy bro thats gonna "speak the truth" or something like that.
MyOrangeString: 2:10 none of the top GW2 influencers talk about this time with "rose-tinted view" though.
cyne122: A lot of it simply the attitude. It's very possible to complain and criticize things without being so miserable about it.
There's also something to be said about balance.
If I notice all somebody does is complain then the message I'm receiving is that they're having a terrible time.
If criticism is balanced out with talking about how much they enjoy something then I take it way more seriously. And the occasional " I say this because I love it" isn't good enough. I actually need you to talk about the things you love.
The same can be said with glazing. If something is 100% glazing, I kind of take it less seriously.
lammia07: Omg. I didn't know that I needed cringe Sil but here we are.
Never change your objective mind on the game.
matheusmikoaski5281: The GW2 development cycle goes like this: firstly arenanet releases new content, secondly players give feedback about it, thirdly arenanet thinks it's negativity and gives up on it, then we go back to the first step. Because of this we have a ton of half assed systems that barely work and the devs refuse to go and improve them because "players hate the content". Hell, I'd even stick my hand in the fire and say that the only reason we still have Convergences and Rift Hunt events because people gave up on saying that a piece of content is bad.
maddyleaf: This game has such a huge toxic positivity problem its insane. It's to the point where you can't even ask for fixes to bugs on the subreddit, people will literally call you delusional and deny the bug even exists. It feels like a cult. And that's coming from someone who's played this game for thousands of hours, I don't talk shit about the game, but people will still shred you to pieces just for giving the mildest criticism or asking for bugfixes.
And so the devs never get good feedback, nothing ever gets fixed GG
zanmaru139: I dunno, the one time I bothered to reply to a video is because you were making a lot of arguments I didn't find compelling. Like, why does it have to be either doomposting or glazing? My point wasn't "leave GW2 alone", it was "you don't support your arguments and sound paranoid."
L-Gothi: the only consistency in gw2 is nerfing warrior
r3ndrock: I knew game went downhill during icebrood saga
phandrel: 00:25 Is this what the Patrons get?
MbHanz: 0:22 Sellout Gaming
Rabbid_Outside_Cage: GW2 community is filled right now with toxic people, especially thoward content creators. From what I see in comment sections under your videos it's not worth to even react for such troll baiting.
Where they came from? I don't know.
HarlsonLargegut: I mean brother I’m with that comment. You’re one of, if not the most depressing YouTuber to watch talk about “a game they love”.
millelele: One of the rare voices of reason right here, gentleman
TheRaienryuu: I had some buddies who were/are die hard into GW2, thousands of hours. I play MMORPGs as a side gig, when I'm bored or tired of my main genre of games. Personal favourite is FFXIV, I just always come back to it ever since I got it in 2015/16. Buddies convinced me to hop into GW2 with them, got the game and some of the most useful/important DLCs.
Even with irl buddies to enjoy the game with, GW2 just couldn't grip me. I played for 110 hours and never touched it again. And even those 110 hours are because I wanted to give a fair chance, otherwise I'd dropped it within 30h probably. It has been a while, so pardon me not being able to perfectly put it into words, however the game just didn't have it for me. I found the skills/abilities somewhat unclear even though the skillbar is tiny as hell, and I had to rely on my buddies to explain what was actually good to use and do. Meanwhile I love the 3x 10 (or 12?) hotbars filled to the brim in FFXIV and I know them by heart, with extra custom made hotbars for a bunch of QoL I made over the years. Even when I do not play the game for 2 years, I can come back and I understand everything within a day or two of playing.
I just never had that in my 100hours of GW2. It always missed something for me, nothing truly clicked. The Dungeons and stuff felt boring, meanwhile most of my time in FFXIV is spent just grinding dungeons, granted there are some dungeons in there that I don't like at this point either, and guiding newbies through PvE content (I'm a Mentor). I don't PvP at all, so that entire branch might as well not exist for my experience.
As it has been quite a while, I'm unable to describe my issues in detail, but GW2 100% has plenty of issues. When a game grips me, I'll sink in hundreds and eventually thousands of hours over months and years. GW2 completely missed it. At the time even my buddies with thousands of hours started playing less and less, to the point I don't even hear them about GW2 at all anymore now.
rainbwsprkl: Aggressively glazy Sil was terrifying, please never do that again.
Unkibara: A lot of systems will show their flaws during the near 2 year QOL period. especially the endgame stuff. Weekly lockouts of rewards, the LFG system, content that require high amount of players.
Especially the waiting. People don't realize they are wasting hours in total when just waiting for events, metas, or squads to fill, etc.
Game really endorses being able to just play whatever whenever, but theres SO much waiting.
Examples: I want to log in and smack a boss. Oops i did that yesterday so i get no rewards, so I can't progress to whatever gold required goal I have. Oh I haven't done them that week? I either i wait for the day / time for my static, or I wait in LFG for 30 minutes
Am I supposed to just play content I don't like to get the rewards I want? I tell people this and I basically get the same terminally online turbo glazers response to just play something else and that theres nothing wrong because its not an issue for them.
MyOrangeString: 7:20 I play PvP daily and this is NOT my experience. 2 to 3 minute queues, and around 1 out of 5 games are lopsided (usually on off-hours).
Somebody374-bv8cd: That comment has a clippy pfp, is he gonna tell Louis Rossman to go use a different product everytime he highlights a company's scummy practices?
Also regarding the part about how if you complain, you still care - you're correct. I've given up complaining about anything for gw2 because I stopped caring. If the game or company were to go down suddenly, I don't think I would really give a shit.
