Fashion Template Livestream TLDRed Jan 30th GW2 News

shierufu: Muk opening notepad without hesitation in these times makes me know he is a good guy.

bozrh4146: So glad they allowed you to show it on an Asura. Felt unnatural otherwise.

rikitube-p4k: This gives me the reassurance i was hoping for. I feared the worse when I first heard of this, but as a 'many equipment slot enjoyer', this is an addition rather than an override, and that's all good with me.

Fawstah: thank you for doing this, I'm really excited for the system, the sharibilty, but also, being able to make looks for whatever weather/situation for immersion/ fun is gonna be really nice :)

fozz3498: 600 gems is pretty pricey. Yeah I'm good on the free ones too. I only really have two looks anyway. Casual and armored. Ty for sharing

khujagrim: Will the fashion templates allow you to have the trinket visual display be active for some outfits and not active for others?

I prefer to have less visual clutter on my character when in WvW. Make myself a little less visually interesting or recognizable. It would be nice to not have to manual change those settings everytime I switch between PvE and WvW.

AlbedoTa: Why i need to go into fashion temptate, clear/past whole thing instead of just changing my fashion in equipement temptates as it now - directly there, that just doesnt make sense

pkmnswampmaster: At last, some end game content.

The build crafting that we will see when this feature goes live will be entertaining to watch.

BackwardsCombatable: The one thing I really want from this system in the future is being able to preview looks with things you don't have, like you can from the bank wardrobe, and saving that speculative fashion even if it can't be applied to gear yet.

Bloo_Belle: Muk owns a tie?

pega7550: thanks for the video, this honestly cleared up a lot of the confusion I had with just the blogpost.

I‘ve still got some questions:

1. is it possible to take a fashion set from your equipment slot and add it as a fashion template (using the analogy with stamp/paper: let‘s say I use a stamp to put something on the paper, then change the stamp and later want what I have on the paper on the stamp again - do I have to set up the stamp from scratch again?)

2. is there a way to disable the quick-swap? I can only see the quickswap as a way to accidentally delete a fashion setup, if you overwrite something without having the template for it available or saved on notepad

mikedsps: So for people who aren't that pushed about fashion templates it's slightly more awkward than it is now.

Might have missed this but Is it possible to accidentally overwrite your equipment templates by clicking a fashion template in the quick change template switch menu above the weapon switch button?

Ok, hopefully it'll be more useful when they add mounts and so on.

ComradeNexus: So, if I'm not misunderstanding, this sounds like it has

ii7317: Confirmed, Muk has crabs!

thevoid4637: What does "☐ Apply on equipment change." do?

Lannachi: We get 2 "free" fashion templates but I'm going to have to keep one blank so I can edit my 7 equipment slots, and probably keep the second blank so I don't accidentally click apply. It feels like there are way too many ways to accidentally override what is in your equipment template with no undo button so I'm going to be constantly backing up chat codes as a safety feature since anet aren't including any safety features themselves. I know you are trying to hype this up for anet but there are real problems with this that aren't being addressed and still haven't been addressed by this video. There should be a setting to just grey out the "Apply on equipment change" box.

Changing equipment and dye currently - go to wardrobe, select skins, go to dyes, select dyes. With the new method it will be what? Go to equipment, copy equipment to fashion template, go to fashion template, change skins and dyes, save, apply, and then clear the fashion template. That's not an improvement.

RoastedBloop: Don't know if you've covered this in the stream Muk.

Q if I want to change a dye on piece(s) but NOT save it to a template, does that cost me a transmutation charge, or is the system as is before i.e no charge whatsoever - this is where confusion is kind of kicking in for people, when you're not saving a look to a fashion template.

Draelos: Question: If I want to change dyes on a piece of equipment that is not already saved in a fashion template, can I still do that without transmog charges?

korbendallas3247: Will there be a way to display both equipped weapons on the character simultaneously?

CorwynGC: If you don't want to copy to a notepad, you could always copy to map chat.

mattcramer9187: Copy the pasta!

SamTheNewb: Can you show, if you have current equipment not matching a fashion template, how changing the current equipment dyes will work?

TurokGalaxy: Not allowed to press 1 using the new ring.

rexus5749: the hole system now clearer explained and shown off looks a lot nicer but i have many chars but no legendary armor and i worry aboout the transmutation charge cost a bit cause i only have 56... not enough to save all fashion i have onto a template with over 10 characters that i use actively. i have no legendary armor so for me each 'save' will cost quite a lot for me.

aberoththebushudodragon4526: i really wish they would just remove transmute charges as a cost in general

VicolGrigore: Feels like a money grab.

I have 6 equipment slots on my mains, every equipment transmuted to look different.

Now all that is gonna revert to original look of the piece, and will have to buy fashions slots to recreate every unique look that I already had and payed for?
