Every Elder Dragon Explained in 15 Minutes Guild Wars 2 Lore

BryonAutry: This is probably one of my favorite videos you have done so far. Love your longer form lore videos.

McKillaboy: I kinda miss Aurene. Is that weird?

JorikiIkion: Kralkatorrik was great in the story, especially loved the parts where he hunted us down. Also enjoyed Jormag and their schemes.

skyguard3942: This video is gonna be the best way for me to get my boyfriend on board playing GW with me. Thank you for this

VarjoPira: Primordus' size got retconned twice. He was originally the smallest, then the largest, and then middle of the pack.

whiteinge: I loved the setup for Jormag. The first part of Icebrood had me hooked. The psychological aspect of HoT was excellent and it felt like Icebrood was going to double-down on that. It's a real shame COVID thoroughly, completely, utterly, and entirely ruined that story line. Kralk was an amazing antagonist and really, really well done, but I'll always have a soft spot for Mordremoth and HoT. Such a fun expansion. While not my main weapon, I still carry Caladbolg for special occasions. <3

fallindevast5574: I believe Primordus was the biggest when it was first revealed in GW2 inside Draconis Mons, but they made it smaller when confronting Jormag. It is also the most "Eldritch" of the bunch, since it doesn't meddle directly with mortal affairs and just does its own thing.

1DMapler18: its revealed that soo won isnt actually the deep sea dragon that drove the underwater civilizations out of the depths, cause she says that she doesnt know who did it but she knows that it wasnt her

its something more mysterious and more ancient

apocalipsass.6589: Kralk was my favorite, and the chapter where you fight him was the Deathwing fight wow fans deserved

KatoKirche: The sheer scale of the dragons and their ability to raise massive armies that put Tyria on the backfoot every time made them such a cool and captivating antagonistic force, especially for an MMO. They felt like real forces of nature. I remember feeling so daunted by Zhaitan in the base game story and Mordremoth after (best dragon, lets be real). I miss them so much

Of_Quartz: Yay DWAGONS!

avenganinjax: That’s my goat!

werbearjack: He gets a bad rep because of how terrible his fight is but I do like Zhaitan.

He had a proper base, a proper hierarchy, several advanced military tactics and is the most coherent dragon with his resurrection powers meaning he will basically always come out ahead as long as troops die on both sides.

He only chewed off a bit too much and did not see the pact coming, a way for the nations of Tyria to support the fight against him without openly working together.

The army and amount of battle ships we had when fighting Zhaitan is probably the biggest military force Tyria has seen within this dragon cycle and he still managed to put up quite the fight - until the very disappointing end.

Zhaitan may have gotten crushed by the pact in the end but the others got defeated by the Commander and at most a few dozen of their friends.

saint.gw2: For me GW2 story is about survival. the commander and the team are not some heros who saves the world. they are bunch of characters trying to survive. Elder dragons are forces of nature, their existance is important to the balance of nature. by killing them, we as commander kind of f ing things up. As Joko says " may be i should save the world from you commander" If it wasnt for Jokos magic turning aurene into immortal we probably would have nuked the entire tyria by EoD. So aas always..... Praise Joko !

gamerkang4648: My favorite elder dragon is a dead elder dragon.

electricraikou6093: so annoying to hear you say "they" "them" to a singular dragon, Jormag. She was a female and even if you were not sure then use the word "it" smh

ЯрославСуський: From story perspective - Kralkatorrik was a peak.

Sylani: I like the last and unnamed one the most xD

turbo404: I don't recall they'd take turns waking and sleeping. It's their combined magic sponging that depleted magic and destroyed the world. The book Destiny's Edge has them deal with 3 or 4 of them before any imbalance caused by their death.

TDawgMiami: What happened after EOD?

VicHimeEnjoyer: Still can't get over the fact they did my boy so freaking dirty. Ig its cause lore wise "he was" also in EotN.

craybest: loved the video! thanks for making it! love learning about gw2 lore

Rhumolein: My next two tattoos will be Soo-Won & the secret seventh Elder Dragon

Amazing video, thank you very much!

mlmolano333: When looking at Jormag, I always wonder which fang Aesgeir took?

renzoyamato7460: Can you pls make a lore video about the pact commander? Preferably for each race

lilbladeknight: HOnestly thought you were going to talk about their relationship to one another and their personality in the family, like zhaitan being a loner and made dolls to play with and such

quick2bud: Soo-won
