OUmSKILLS: Was watching a streamer cover the Games Fest while playing on my second screen. When the ad played, the chat filled with "DEAD GAME". Kinda sad to see people writing it off just because of its age. They'll never know what they're missing. Then again, this is probably coming from the people who buy the same CoD or Fifa every year simply because the number was incremented.

melinnamba: Did you notice, that the discounts aren't as big as usual? Usually during sales they sell HoT and PoF at 75% off EoD at 50 % off and even SotO has gotten some 20 % off offers. I think that means they are confident they can currently sell the expansions at higher prices. I wonder if that means that player numbers have been growing lately. By Kormir, I would soo love to get a peak at the statistics. It would certainly fit with my impression. My YouTube feed has been full of "I am trying gw2 for the first time" videos for the last month or so.

Cloudman572: Shame for new potential players that the " Complete" collection is missing 2 major expansions.

Still good value but "mislabelling" that collection could lead to bad impression of company when they find out. Years to make trust, minutes to to throw it away etc etc.

206Zelda: I've very little against GW2; a few criticisms and grunts, but very little.

I still don't think the Gamer Fest, which was stuffed full of upcoming games and things to come (and or close my wallet to), was a fitting place to put GW2's XP bonus week.

It feels like a paid insert to coax players into buying the expansions and boost sales. Otherwise there should have been upcoming FFXIV, ESO or WoW inserts as well. I've already had my concerns of GW2's seemingly-dwindling "expansions" over time with some poorly-paced writing and references to string it all together, so this just screams 'greed' and overall becomes off-putting. A mountain out of an ant hill, I know, but I felt like being honest with my suspicions. I'm still feeling the pangs from Dawntrail (FFXIV), of course, and I'm glad GW2 offers a bit more that I can skip through if I don't feel like looking at it or humoring the script.

Thebluewind3: does the bounes xp effect reward track in WvW?

MageSkeleton: i'm not sure if it's because i don't have the latest expansion, or if it's because i feel like i've "completed" the game. i have two characters i want to outfit in the top tier gear. Looking over everything i have, i struggle to get the "research notes" just to make any of the aurene weapons. i spent the eighty gold to get the recipe's to make the gifts so i don't have to pay the extra ectoplasm. Then i sat back and had an epiphany, legendary gear is for players who somehow played the game long enough to have the materials and the gold. And because i've been outfitting my characters with ascended gear, i feel cursed to useing ascended gear, where if i had just made a single set, i would have been able to get at least one piece of legendary gear. At least i don't have to worry about an amulet for any of my characters.

jacknapier2089: I was wondering if Summer Games 2024 had a GW2 ad, no. Odd thing was New World Aeternum advetisement was in about the same timeframe inbetween showing a new IP, about 30 seconds. The only connection between GW2 and NewWorld, one of the founders of Anet is working at New World, albeit not in an important role now.

I just bought it yday for gems ( as friend said he doesnt expect to this go on sale at least until another expansion is out) to get tools with glyphs and character slot. i am unable to check its price and it no longer appears in my in-game shop

Overall that janthir deluxe is super value ( compared to buying normally) as tools character slot is 3500 gems, if both were on sale 20% its 2800, and janthir containing both by default is 2400, if this goes on sale it will be even crazier

eutha6: Still waiting for a lower price on Janthir as it is so small as an expansion and offers the lowest QoL as opposed to SoTo and EOD which had new elites and weapon/skyscale masteries-Janthir has spear and homestead, both are meh imo.

Mark-xo7mu: Still leveling my first character. Should I buy one or more of the expansions, I am enjoying the game but not in love with it. Bag space and bank space are my main gripe’s. I understand games of this type always put some type of limitation in them. First mmo player.
