Discussing Guild Wars 2

traveling.down.the.road56: I’ve been playing GW2 so long, and watching videos of these people for years and I just realized that I’m noticing that they are maturing and physically changing, since the first time that I saw them. Laranity is more calm and poised. She’s the same, but better, and more confident and beautiful, like a Laranity plus! Mukluk is maturing from young man to mature Dad, who is even more relaxed than he was when he first started full time streaming and quit his job. Noxxi never changes.

mangoman93: I really want them to add mount skins to old metas. Get people back in those PoF and season 3 maps.

illyesdogguy9063: The costs for stela was actually the most disappointing part of this expansion for me. As someone who doesnt have aurora or vision i was looking forward to this, and now I just dont feel like ill ever get around to leggy accessories

Atlas3060: Vloxx: "Commander, the sickness is at the source. I must correct it."

Commander: "What do you mean?"

Vloxx: "We're updating the Unreal Engine"

Commander: "You're crazy! It can't be done!"

danielnechita27: Imagine Vloxx reconfigures reality and we continue in Guild Wars 3 ;) the most epic sequel announcement

nielsjensen4185: About the forge achievement, you can drag the instructions with you.

Sonofhud: It would be cool if they just had decent story content that didn't need filler. First, it was "fill the green bar," now it's "go collect items." Whether the collections are becoming less tedious isn't the point; I'd rather it just not be a "feature."

They're clearly trying to get away with doing as little as possible. I still love GW2 and the gameplay loop, but the old living world story content is starting to feel superior to these mini xpac's.

mangoman93: My infinite copium tells me Vloxx's thing will be the setup for GW3.

TFalconwing: The bomb crafting was my favorite part because I screenshot the instructions, sent them to my wife, and she read them off for me as I made the bomb. The teamwork, simple as it was, made it a more enjoyable beat in the story.

CloudVaris: 9:47 I MOSTLY just ran around and found them on accident while doing events - lots of them were right next to common hubs or travel points. I only had one that I had to hunt down.

nielsjensen4185: The Relic came from a WvW reward box.

nielsjensen4185: Leyline gliding was 12m XP

JuniperoHendricks: superspeed on scrapper negated the heavy blocks, and a blink like shift signet helped not getting hit in the puzzles.

sapherion: 1:11:40 spending millions of karma for something u dont remember? that reminds me of muks tutorial on how to turn karma into gold.

sapherion: like to see brother and sister together again. :D and Noxxi.

(also first time for me hearing noxxis voice and I got so supirsed, always thought cause of the art hes a girl. But handsome voice my man. )

ZeMuffinator: yea... im sorry Larra saying the "trials" were "impressive" was where you lost me. that shit was terrible content padding with 0 problem solving skills required. i felt a piece of my soul leave my body when the second floor of "puzzles" was revealed

Judge-The-Exalted: The costs for Stella Radians with the research notes is more then 52500. What people forget is the "Gift of Restoration" which needs 17 Glimmering Resin weapon skins. Those can buy or make. I you make them those costs 250 research notes each, if you buy them it costs 300 research notes each.

Add 4250 research notes if making them. So the total is at least 56750 Research notes if you craft them

.

masonalleman8716: Too summarize my experience with the new legendaries: Wooah new pve legendary? Oh 7 million karma never touching that; woah new WvW legendary? I hope its cheap since it will probbaly use wvw only currency HOLY 25G PER RECYCLED SIEG-

zhamirdiaz3196: people have such rose tinted glasses for anet i swear, there is alot that was ok in this patch but it was very lackluster for having to wait 6 months for it, it's been 1 week and im fully done with the new map. i got all achevements and mastery points, i really have nothing else to do in this map but the daily hearts till they reach tier 5! everyone keeps giving this patch like an 8 our of 10 when i feel like with the 6 month wait it's sitting at a solid 5 out of 10 it's a very meh and ok update!

captaincrapface7337: 0:34 no offense, but this is podcast equivalent of white bread inviting, flour and water to counteract its breadlines.

You could have put a plank of wood in empty corner of the screen and it would have more spicy takes than you and both your guests combined.

If you want differing opinions, invite me and Roze next time (jk.)

nocchi.9589: lara looks so pretty omg

CrusaderKnight: Wait... Noxxi is a dude? xD

shakeweller: Am I the only one that does NOT care about map design as much? I'm not a completionist so I do the map to unlock the masterys then never do it again unless Im going for a related Legendary

Repenter0: Something to note about mount drops is that FFXIV does an interesting system.

You can farm the fights over and over (instanced fights) and every time you clear the fight you get a token saying you cleared the fight. While the mount can drop, you can also trade X tokens to a "mount vendor" for the associated tokens mount. It basically adds a "pity system" so if you roll the dice 100, 200, however many times you will eventually get it no matter what. They also have a few other random things available for tokens so that you can choose to get those things instead if you are still farming the fight 3 years later and already have the mount.

So for GW2 tying them to some random currency for the zone with a chance to get from the meta, and the meta providing a good chunk of that currency means that people not doing the meta still might EVENTUALLY get it and every meta becomes a scratch off lotto ticket of payouts in a much bigger/more exciting way.

nielsjensen4185: To get Karma fast do all the LW dailies categories, they reward you around 12k Karma each. I got all the karma for the AUrene variants that way.

Coobanmen: part of the reason why the expacs feel disconnectred from each other is they got no anchor. like during the almost entirety of dragons saga we had Dragons Watch. very well written characters whos personal archs helped bridge everything together. in soto we get some random dudes who i cant remember for shit. similiarly in jhantir, only slightly better with some of the bears being written better, im not counting isgarren, hes with us now, but i dont consider him a good ally character, cos hes just too powerful and it messes with the power levels were dealing with A LOT. this time however we got rytlock and canach, which to me already felt slightly better, we know what they been up to, we know what theyr good at (rytlock mentions hes not as good a help as isgarren or other wizards, and yet we did beat all the dragons without isgarren), we know we can count on them, we know them as friends and in my head im pasting this expac right after eod becouse they are the bridge, while soto and jhantir character were just placeholders.

my theory is we might see more friendly faces. feel like both rytloc and expecially canach hint at this somewhat during the post final chapter talk. canach mentions he find himself lacking purpose, rytlok says the legions are stabilised and hes bored. honestly im hoping we get to see more of the old crew used in a way that we feel like we need them to help us face the challanges. not really the way zojja was treated tho.

GasMaskKai: Anet could do something cool if at the end of patch 3 of VOE we dont actually finish dealing with Vloxx and he carrys over into the next expansion, actually making him be more than just a seasonal villian and actual turns into a nemesis that we lose to throughout of VOE and we have to deal with the aftermath in the following expac
