Hexiaz: I hope they would go back to old way to aquire the aqua breather where the main part is to grind the collection/achievements instead of just pure gold check how the relic and orax was -.-

sohgeki: The reason its a spear is because there were no spear versions of gen2 and gen3 legendaries so they're trying to make up for that. All other weapons (except underwater weapons) have 3 versions (or more), while the spear only has 2 before this announcement. Furthermore, the spear is one of the most meta weapons in the game yet they are severely lacking in "skins" as of this moment compared to other weapons.

kaicluster6783: Considering we're getting 3 legendary weapons and the expac will have a lot of aquatic content, it's probably pretty safe to assume that the 3 legendaries will be spear, harpoon and trident with each one also having a land counterpart.

Spear-staff, harpoon-rifle, trident-hammer (was gonna say GS, but we already got too many of those).
