I meet a someone today who started crashing out because he/she couldn't do Heart of Thorns hero points as thief and still didn't wanted any help because...??? Like I get it, you might want to test yourself with hard content but don't be scared to reach out to people. Most players who are on specific maps already know how much some mechanics/challenges hurt, and no one is losing here. All get exp and loot. TALK TO PEOPLE!

koyebrown9293: One of my favorite tips is to teleport to the guild hall using the Guild tab to quickly access a merchant (to get more salvage kits, etc) and a reinforce anvil no matter where I am in Tyria!

Just be careful doing this during a meta event because you might come back in a different instance!

nemonerecy7884: Another tipp: If you need help for a certain boss or event, you can activate a commander symbol with limited option called "mentor".

Just type "/Mentor" to activate/deactivate the icon and ask people in the map chat: "need help for a champ on mentor" and most of the time some people will show up. Just remember to deactivate the mentor tag again.

cameirusisu1024: toggle snap to target for ground based AOE is something you should keybind. Then you can aoe and auto snap to your target if stationary, but toggle it if you need to throw an aoe at a specific place like a heal/ress or if your target moves. Its really useful

If you see a lot of people somewhere, wait and listen. If they have food on the ground, then a boss is showing up.

windsof: A tip for salvaging gear if you haven't got 200 inv slots:

Requires 1 shared inv slots.

Place unidentified gear in shared inv slot, open all, deposit materials, salvage all,

keep materials in bag

rosariocrimson: Something I only just learned, color match your salvage kits to what you're scrapping. I had just been buying the master salvage kits and using them on everything, which is a total waste. A gray piece isn't going to give you any better with a master than it will a basic salvage kit, and where the master is over 15 silver, the basic isn't even 1. I had been nickel and diming myself doing that.

Another thing I'd recommend, check your bank every now and then. I had been hoarding so many things that I was simply just never going to use. Various boosters, merchant/bank express passes, old exotic gear that was just gathering dust because I had no characters that needed it. If you're simply not going to use something (of course be sure of that before you do anything) it's just eating space, so sell or salvage. If you can't, like with the express passes, just toss them. Boosters, even if you're not really using them, may as well pop them instead.
