ZK-sz8vs: i played it on the beta and i thought it felt very bad. it takes forever to get revved up, and below 90 it almost doesnt function. so much of the tree revolves around collapsing star, but it takes a solid 30-40 seconds just to get into demon form and then another 10 or so to get a collapsing star, all the while you are mostly just pressing a hard cast generator and occasionally an instant scythe cast. eye beams when they are up but thats only every 20 seconds or so. you dont get access to frequent collapsing star procs until you get all of your apex talents, and even then it still takes quite a while to get into demon form to use them

it doesnt feel good to play in my opinion

KirionF: Legion Shadow Priest is the best designed spec this game has ever seen and the fact we get a stripped down, unsatisfying version of it for Devourer DH that doesn't even really act on the fantasy of high haste because the talent that gives you stacking haste also makes your fury drain quicker is a travesty.

bootnscoot5265: High skill ceilings are fine but if perfect play is the linchpin of the spec then it has some more fundamental problems. If the expectation of the spec design is that it is for fewer people then you are only inviting poor design choices down the line. The pool of feedback for it will only steer it to be harder and harder to master. It is essentially replicating the healer problem and the reason why fewer and fewer people fill that role. As time goes on you'll see the spec less and less, since people will become unwilling to touch it because of the sheer difficulty of it.

Archerious: its a bit of a weird distinction saying that you now have one of the most mobile specs in world of warcraft, like your talking about a Demon hunter, since they came out they have been one of the most mobile classes in wow. Thats like if druids got a new form you would say druids now have the ability to transfer into animal forms. like eeh yeah thats what they have always done

joebenzz: The half melee half ranged build is fine on its own but in raid boss fights it can be tricky. If the boss is surrounded by OS Aoes, your rotation is broken. If there is something in between you and the boss, you have to reposition yourself. A hybrid build can become a chore in the long run. The interruption during Collapsing Star is also a problem. Just moving because of an aoe and your meta rotation is ruined since you loose all of 30 soul shards.
