Subgenrelol: I honestly had a decent time playing BFA from a casual standpoint. Dropped retail once classic came back, and then SoD and have never looked back. I’m honestly excited for MOP because I can play a wind walker monk, but retail is just too bloated.

Also, what happened to the level squish and subsequently damage squish? That was awesome, and then a few expansions later and dots are ticking for 2million again.

arondorf1160: A cousin of mine told me he simply sub for a month on launch, no-life it for that month and then stops playing until the next expansion, not because he hates it, but because he's had his fill.

I reckon a lot are doing that, not invested to keep subbing every month for two years, because they've got jobs to focus on.

ItztoobadthatI: I think people don't understand why Wrath was the most popular. Wrath was so popular because it was the end to the Warcraft story. People played because it was the capstone to the story of Arthas. Once Arthas story was done, Warcraft fans checked out. They got what they wanted out of warcraft. After Wrath everything was essentially untouched territory when it came to lore and storytelling as a whole.

uuamenator: Have you ever thought that perhaps it's not just copium that people have, but actually giving the expansion an unironic go enjoying it, and while you are literally correct in pointing out flaws, the other players aren't done enjoying it for what it is yet and don't want you blackening their moods before they're done? That's part of the reason it's not ok to hate on a new expansion for a while at the start, and I think it's a good reason.

thunder9236: The amount of buzz is bullshit for WoW anymore. So many streamers talking about season 2 TWW like it's the best thing on earth. It's fucking boring. M is a gigantic leap from heroic and new players don't want to do it. People that want to try tanking and healing stop. Now they're trying to rush content... But it's boring. Undermine raid looks great, but its super mid. Castle nathria was fun as fuck and good. The tier sets are just copy paste.

ShadowsOfThePast: I see nothing wrong that there are people who only play for a month or two from the start. I don't think anyone should play more than they have fun playing. There's plenty of different player types within WoW. Some play all the time, some only at start and some dip in and out whenever some new patch/season starts etc.
