SoulOfFenrir: To me, sitting there for 20 seconds is contemplating "do i think people will dox them for saying yes?" WoW toxicity is as wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle. FFXIV is a puddle, but deep as the Mariana Trench.

luc1ferous: The general community for XIV is great (mostly), but some of the subgroups that form around certain streamers? Yeah they know when they have a bad bunch... The difference is in XIV's in-game chat if you ask for help or a nudge in the right direction someone will pipe up to help, in WoW you get bullied out of the game

DemonArcanis: I haven't played WoW but I am a FFXIV player and I have to say most of the time the community is really nice and helps a lot. When I was a beginner, so many people helped me out but I also found some toxic players a view times.

mentkansleyunitedstatesgov6364: The most toxic thing I've come across playing FFXIV and I've been playing since Heavenward was first released is people in dungeons who don't allow the tank to control the flow of the run, they run ahead and try to rush through stuff and end up getting swarmed by mobs

lazyfrogeyes5949: FF14 and wow are just as toxic as each other. I have Played wow since launch and ff 14 since heavensward. The only difference is ff14 players are nice on the surface level. While wow players will be toxic from the first time you log on. The trick is with any mmo find a group of people you enjoy playing wit and ignore the negativity.

Yes, of course there is a lightness with helping sprouts and bard concerts and ocean fishing...BUT if you speak ill about a very specific thing in that game, all hell unleashes. A literal frothing, rapid dog pile.

leleleclelec5830: I played WoW : not really toxic, but I played as a casual so, I can't really tell if the community is toxic.

I played League of Legends : most toxic community ever. They all think they are challengers, even with a level around Silver.

Then I played XIV : honestly, the end game content is full of toxic people leaving a raid because we wiped one or still learning a mechanic.

BUT there is the most helpful people with sprouts. I hope being one of them and made a new player enjoying the game by cheering them and giving advice they needed.
