stephanieking8299: I’m glad Blizzard is stealing ideas again they used to be so good at it. Excited to explore this!
jonbuckley: As a returning player who just played through Dragonflight and The War Within. I enjoyed it, but had no clue of what the hell was going on. This game needs a complete reboot and needs to be streamlined so much content and overlapping quest lines it’s hard to know what you should be doing half the time. I can see why they new players would bounce off this game in 2025
Entsantec: I 100% agree that there should be a “story levelling mode”. Maybe you can choose it instead of Exile’s Reach or the starter zone. Have a small intro by Lorewalker Cho, maybe next to Chromie in the capital, and have him be all “ah, I see you’ve come to learn about our world; where do you want to start?” And then like Chromie, you can pick an expansion and go.
I also agree that the story shouldn’t be linear, and your example for classic was great;
You could pick to learn about Onyxia and go from killing the Defias (in a solo/NPC follower dungeon) all the way to killing Onyxia; or you could learn about The Old Gods and the Silithid leading up to Ank’hiraj; or everything about Nefarian and Ragnaros and the Dark Irons in Blackrock; but you get to do them in any order you want to. Maybe Cho breaks it down by expansion and then by storyline, and when you finish each story you can get an achievement for it (maybe a mount for doing every expansion overall, and something for completing each expansion’s story individually. And you could do the same with the zone stories for other expansions, literally cut the fluff and streamline it for the story.
And maybe make it so you can jump out and in at any time. Kinda like with the current lorewalking, you can have a small button to press that “interrupts Cho’s story” and tells him “I have to go, can I come back later?” And you can leave Lorewalking and just be put back into the most recent levelling expansion’s version of the capital.
And then, when you want to continue, you find Cho and say “can we talk about X story again?” And you pick up where you left off. Or maybe you can start a new expansion without losing progress on the old one.
Man, now you’ve got me excited, I really hope Blizz does Lorewalking like this on a much bigger scale now!
kevinmgxp: Blizzard always stops just short of doing things 100% right. I’ve always wondered why we can’t just level through the entire story, expansion by expansion, on our own terms.
Let us pick a “Chronological Leveling” mode during character creation.
“Where do you want to start your journey?”
Classic, TBC, WOTLK, Cata, MOP, WOD, Legion, BFA, Shadowlands, Dragonflight, TWW.
Scale XP so we can go through the full timeline and only reach the final 10 levels in the current expansion.
No convoluted Chromie Time. No random time skips. Just clean, immersive progression.
And for those who want to revisit the story later?
Keep the Loremaster NPC, let us replay specific arcs whenever we want. Add lore-based achievements tied to race or class, so revisiting older content feels meaningful.
Players have been asking for this for years… and honestly, the fact you're watching this probably means you are interested in this too.
Maybe trust the players to find their own play-style on their own terms?
do not treat your player base like they are ......
kibble-net: Warcraft: Story Mode
jcuttyfoe: It needs to be more of an alternative to leveling for new players and less of a gimmick for veterans. This is not nearly enough to combat the horrible new player experience
Kelekona_808: Drone flute sounded awesome.
joeypetersen3945: I love that right before this video about wow starts i get a 7min ad of nixxiom talking about turtle wow lol
Kujo751: I liked this video alot. It was awesome seeing your D&D room!. Wouldn't mind seeing a short tour of it.
Also i'd love to hear more of ya playing your drone flute. loved what i heard.
ButteronaPoptart: My Arthas run bugged out on the steps before getting to Icecrown Citadel after smacking Jaina, and my 3 tries at an Ethereals run crashed the game, dumped me in an ocean somewhere and killed me. The other one was fun after you get past the Warlock Legion stuff. I like the other new content, especially what they did with Arathi Highlands.
Ichmöchtediesnichtbeantwortne: Hell yeah nixxiom we love ya content
YouGotBrawndo: Meh. Activision destroyed WoW. Then Blizzard destroyed WoW. Then players destroyed WoW. I'm good.
fujiwhara-: Blizzard, please don't waste more time and resources on this. The story isn't good. Telling more about the story won't make it good.
wildcat002: I don't need lorewalking to learn about arthas
because I finished W3 over 10 times already
keblin86: I'd actually love to lvl with a 100% linear story from start to finish so we know everything!
Planetdune: This does not fix the problem. That all over the place levelling is still there. The only way to fix it would be that you start in your starter zone and have to progress through all expansions in chronological order with next expansion not possible to do till you did all main story quests of the expansion you are in. Yes this will make levelling a lot slower, but it would make the game a game again with a beginning, middle and no end.
AlexSaheli: I honestly would love to see how Blizz's marketing looks at the moment. Like Reeeeal curious.
Sarah_seaside: Nixxiom that’s a really cool room. I like the flute that summons the spirit mother
ianhorne9594: They already said that they will add more stories and that they already have stories planned.
heramaaroricon4738: Nixxiom casually flexing he owns a house.
johneast9024: Yo Nixxiom, are you gonna try out Epoch WoW in a month or so? I think it might interesting enough to put some hours into at least.
gageracer: It needs an idioto mode(the current one) and a hardcore mode. I did with my 680 with no weapons and trinks yet still one shotted everything. Then I brought my dk which is 75 with 475 ilvl and still one shotted all. The last part on LK where you run away, I killed him and never take any damage.
Second thing is it needs to be a scenario mode. I fckn hate to roleplay and shit then a random paladin one shotting all the enemies cause wow is like that meme scene where the character gets the sword and runs while everything dies.
My suggestion: Make the exact menus for all the campaign stories from W3. It looks awesome, it's insanely easy to track and it gives an epic feeling when you see all the stories and the main characters of the stories!
TylerR909: Would be nice if Blizzard could innovate some alternative to "Levels."
frantictoast3741: There's a goldmine when it comes to novels. Flesh out each expansion with a trilogy or series. I want a novel based on the canon assault on blackrock spire, I want a novel on the War of the Shifting Sand, a 5 or 6 book series on the Northrend Campaign. I especially want more lore novels set during classic wow. Gimme a novel of the canon attack on the Deadmines lol
